"Stop The Fucking Car" - Circa Survive

Answer the following questions in as much or as little detail as you like. Posting audio, YouTube videos, links, or lyrics helps.

1.) What is your favorite song?

That's a very difficult one, but I'm gonna go with...

"In Fear And Faith" by Circa Survive.

can we last through the winter
the water’s starting to freeze
the only one who remembers
taking the wrong step falling in front of me
this body’s already aging
these nights are already long
and if I last through the winter I swear to you now, I wont call

congratulations, go home now

will we last through the winter
will we make it to see
I never wanted a partner
and I never loved you
now you are free to leave
this heart is already frozen
I can't remember to thaw
and if I last through the winter
I swear to you now, I won't call

congratulations, go home now

it's too late it's too late
they won't let go
I’ve followed five foot steps through that open door, open door
it's too late its too late
they won't let go
I’ve followed five foot steps through that open door, open door

it must be buried under the heart
that makes this place persistent
you'll find in time, the gate's been open and
I’ve been wondering, if you'd been real with us

it’s too late...

it's too late it's too late
they won't let go
I’ve followed five foot steps through that open door, open door
it's too late its too late
they won't let go
I’ve followed five foot steps through that open door, open door

start stop and go
you've been dying for, you've been dying for

2.) Why?

Honestly, I absolutely love the lyrics and how they can be interpreted. This song is energetic, somewhat sad, and very emotive, which I love. It just really stood out to me from their album, which has a bunch of other awesome songs as well.

3.) What is your favorite band?

Circa Survive

4.) Why?

The emotion. A band that puts strong emotion behind their music attracts me foremost over anything else. When the band gives off so much emotion that the listener feels it with them, that's the type of music I absolutely love. And Circa Survive is like the epitome of that, for me. Their music is so beautiful and atmospheric and inspiring. When you're as spacy as I am, it's practically heavenly. Music is a way of expressing myself, and Circa Survive helps me do that like no other band has managed to do so far. Their music is both emotional and thought-provoking, and I love to think. It's my favorite thing to do, and it's what I do the most. Plus their singer, Anthony Green, has an awesome, unique voice.

5.) Name a few other bands that have touched you.

-Coheed and Cambria
"Welcome Home"
The Willing Well IV: Final Cut

Coheed and Cambria are just awesome. They just are. They play awesome music that's emotional, technical, and rocking, and it's got a story behind it to boot. Plus Claudio Sanchez's hair rocks. He's got a hell of an awesome vocal range.

-Billy Talent
"Fallen Leaves"
"Devil In A Midnight Mass"
"Red Flag"

Billy Talent's music is pure rawk. Plain and simple. They're not hardcore or metal or punk (welltheyarekindapunkbutmeh). Just pure rock. They will rock your socks off. I love the sheer amount of energy in their songs, and their sound is pretty unique. If you don't know these guys and you like rock..... you should click on the links above. Or else. Bad stuff... yeah.

-The Dear Hunter
Black Sandy Beaches
Smiling Swine

I love the Dear Hunter because they're kinda like Circa Survive and Coheed and Cambria combined. And where can you go wrong there? They're kind of atmospheric like Circa, and they're a concept band as well. Their stuff's very beautiful, and pretty varied. They use a bunch of different instruments.

6.) Tag some people if you give a shit.

Uh... if you wanna do it, feel free.
