I've been looking into the upcoming Sonic Unleashed, and I actually think it's going to be good. From what I've heard Sonic Team has been working on the type of engine system this game will use for the past 3 years.
Lots of people have been bashing Wolf Sonic, but I think it'll bring replay value into the game. For example; Wolf Sonic could unlock secret paths that normal Sonic can't. The game will be using a day & night system, so I guess the player won't really have a choice to turn into Wolf Sonic, but then again, when did a Werewolf ever have a choice about transforming?
Getting off topic a bit:
I hope it isn't Jason Griffith doing Sonic again, although I'm pretty sure it is. He should stick to voicing Shadow, it's much better in comparison. If he was to quit voicing Sonic, I would gain a lot of respect for him.
If not Ryan Drummond, they should have James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet & Clank, TMNT) voicing him, but that's just my opinion.
Maybe Griffith's gotten wind of all the flaming and will actually do a decent job for once... (crickets chirping) You're right, I ask too much.

I think werewolf Sonic is just plain stupid. Sonic games aren't supposed to be dark. They are supposed to be happy colourful platform games.
About that engine, I'm sure it'll be bug free but this game looks too Sonic Rush to me, just keep running until the level ends.
controlling were-Sonic is different from controlling normal Sonic. when you're were-Sonic, he moves slower, but is stronger, and chucks enemys around instead of jumping on them and killing them. it's more of object manipulation than high speed running and dodging objects. were-Sonic also can climbwalls and swing from vines, like Donkey kong. Also, were-Sonic isn't actually evil, more like the incredible hulk or something.
