I have a question to all Sonic fans out there:
How do you feel about Sonic? I mean REALLY feel?
Do you think he's still as popular as he was in the Genesis days, or is he yesterday's news?
I am a Sonic fan, through and through. Always have been, always will be.
I think he's still great, but he's not being used right.
Look at Mario, he's still as popular, if not more-so, than he was when he debuted.
Why? Because he's not being limited to doing the same type of game over and over again. And when he does, they give it new looks, new innovative game controls, they re-invent the franchise every single time.
They need to expand the Sonic series. More than just a couple racing games and ones starring other characters.
Example: Do a REAL Sonic and Mario crossover, like Crash Bandicoot & Spyro did! Not a sport game crossover (unless it's in the next Mario Strikers, that would be awesome).
Hopefully, the new Sonic RPG will get him back on track to regaining his original superstar status that earned him the respect of gamers years ago.

Well, it's like Megaman lol. So much wen't right with him and now it's kinda, well yeah wow... As for sonic, Sega went down, so Nintendos got him on a tight hold. I think the cameos are abit much, but brawl I can let slide because of Snake...The only thing I don't want to see, is a mario character ending up in a sonic game. That would seem really weird, not like the olympic games, cause that was party stuff. But..yeah. and yeah I agree expand on the norm sonic games. The advanced and Rush titles, minus part 2 are good examples of extending the right way. If it has to be 3D, like the failure sonic 6, then they should just make it like it's meant to be. At least they play better. Story wise with me on sonic, let's get back to the days of Sonic going after Eggman and Knuckles fighting that imposter.

The problem with Sonic is the look they gave him. Sega tried to make him a "cool guy with attitude" and failed. Here's a list of the things I hate about him now:
+ The "I'm way too cool" attitude.
+ Glitchy engines in 3D games.
+ Linear levels that end in 30 seconds.
+ Horrible storylines
And for your interest Sega registered the name Sonic Unleashed under the category of games, so Sonic Unleashed may be the new game we are expecting.
