Jobhunting is driving me mental still, but that's not my main topic here...
Before I give the main point, I'm going to give a bit of background, so I'm italicising the bit you can skip if you can't be arsed to read much:
My best friend of many years is a lover of the theatre and dreams to become an accomplished performer in musical theatre, and he's been studying performing arts in college. As many of you are aware, performing arts does not present an exam to determine the final grade but instead host a performance. Unfortunately, my friend's college class has been going to hell since several people have dropped out, all of which taking a certain character. Since I've been helping my friend with his lines so much, I know a lot of them myself, and so when my friend mentioned that to his drama teacher, I was soon contacted with an offer to take one of the lead roles in order to save the grades of the class.
I'm now attending my friend's college on Mondays and Tuesdays for rehearsals for the final performance of 'Noises Off' - a hilarious play which was made into a film in 1992 featuring Michael Caine. I'm not at risk of getting bad grades or anything since I'm not actually a student - I'm just attending my friend's lessons and rehearsing alongside him. It's going to be a fun few weeks while learning lines and acting while continuing the tedium of jobhunting...
My first rehearsal was today and I already know all of the first act, so only two to go
