Well, it's almost over. My two week dream vacation escape into my homeland is almost over, and I'm not sure how I feel.
On the one hand, I kind of feel cheated. I was expecting things to be great, and though I've had great times with my mum and dad, and sometimes my younger brother (when I wasn't somehow managing to "enrage his soul"), I guess I was hoping things to be better.
Don't get me wrong -- I'm grateful for the time I've had. But California's been cold by more than one definition, and my family life has been turbulent to say the least.
On top of that, I also had massive dental work done while here, and had a tooth pulled. That was something of a catastrophe, and combined with an unfortunate vicodin accident, I was stuck in bed sick for a nice chunk of my off time.
I'll be home soon, and it saddens me to think of it.

Sorry your trip here to California hasn't been the best it could be. The rainy weather we've been haveing has been quite unusual. But we hope that you'll be takeing home good memories of your trip as well and that you'll think fondly of this vacation.

I'm sorry to hear things didn't go as well as you hoped. :( I know what it's like to wish family time to be happy, and then later turn out bad. Ouch! I had a tooth pulled when I was younger. Actually two because one tooth didn't have a root and I had to have a bridge put in. One of the most painful medical works of my life. >_< Anyway...I sure hope you'll be feeling better soon! Please be careful on your way home. :) Take care!

That's a real bummer about your teeth. That sounds remarkably painful. And whatever they did with vicodin, I can only imagine how painful and sickening that could've been.
I'm sorry to hear that your time with family didn't go quite as expected. That happens with family quite a bit, sadly. However, even though the time you spent with them may not feel spectacular, perhaps as you look back on it in the coming weeks it might be what you were hoping for. Sometimes reflection makes you see things you never did at the time. I know it's helped me realize just how much fun I've had with my own family over the years.
Though the trip may not have turned out as you expected, it sounds like you did enjoy the good times you had, and that's something that counts. Though, as for your run-in with the dentist... that could've gone better for you.
Hope you feel better soon, and I hope your trip home is safe!

Ouch. I often get that sort of dread feeling myself when coming off holiday but family holidays are another matter. It seems as though most of your bad feelings are coming from having a slightly lacking time in California, but do try to focus on the plus points, like seeing your family etc.

I'm sorry to hear the trip didn't go as you wanted it to Mie, but as it's already been said, be sure to look back at the positive aspects of the vacation, and that's what in the end, made it worthwhile. Even though you may have had a terbulent time with your family, cos at the time of year most families do have little spits and spats, at least cherish the time you had together.
I mean my mum's been pissing me off constantly for the last two weeks. XP
Admittedly, having a dentist do a tooth fairy on you and then screw up with the Vicodin can only make you feel worse about things, I can imagine.
Get well soon, Mie, and T00meh is always around for a ranting ear if needs be. :)

I'm sorry for you =O My two week break was entirely stolen from me as I wasn't in my best state and I had a ton of work to do >.>
Don't hang around on any upsetting thoughts, it'll only keep you down ._.
Ah, just focus on the good things you managed to do.
