After a lot of confusion and learning I’ve got my site up, completely revamped.
http://www.novienar.com/
This being the second site I’ve designs, and the first on my own domain name. Hopefully there aren’t any glitches on the site, I went through so much confusion trying to learn how to upload it, all the help I got was kinda computer talk. Ha but I think I’ve got it now.
Please take a look and feel free to suggest any thing! Cause I’m still learning.
Oh yes and if you have your own art site, please send a link, cause I’d love to have a look at what you’ve done. I just have this weird thing for looking at the layouts of art sites. To see how other people present there work.
THESE WILL NEVER BE FINISHED AND I HAVE SO MANY MORE! D: *fails at life*

It looks good :) Especially if you couldnt get it at first haha I like the welcome page and the background
Redsun Says:
Only problem I have is the background is repeating. I have a wide screen so you might want to see if you can fix that. but other then that it looks great.
WhiteFoxDK Says:
For the repeating background that the person above mentioned, just make the black space around the picture larger (around the sides a bit and the bottom especially, don't do the top). Or don't allow repetitions to occur.
As for a link, here's my site if you want to see it (very simple layout that I got help with though): LINK

Other then what was already mentioned, BG repeating and such....It's better for the site if your thumbnails open in seperate windows. Because your page doesn't have to keep refreshing itself.
. OK so maybe not, but still really small. Just watch how small your text gets.

Oh and on your homepage, your lil welcome to the online portfolio of...etc. thing, is really small, I had to get all up ons my monitor to see it lol
Other then that!! It's looking awesome

You should put some kind of disclaimer on the bottom of your template...if you're using one. I love designing sites. n_n the creative possibilities are endless!

I loved it!
Your use of the monotone background against your colored pieces is really powerful. =3
It was definitely a pleasure to look through.
GoroUnreal Says:
Not sure if you wanted it to repeat, but if you don't you can just add style="background-repeat: no-repeat;" to your body tag, or style="background-repeat: repeat-x;" to repeat horizontally (y for vertically).
Looks great though =)
