So I got my new laptop, all happy with it, decently specced and all but there are a few minor annoyances:-

1. My midi program keeps losing a vital font that it needs to let the sheet music make sense.

2. Vista slows down my laptop enough that FL studio can barely go above 30% cpu without clipping the audio.

Any advice with how to reduce the Vista load...I'd appreciate it. "Get XP" doesn't count as help
