Permanent and Sustainable Living

Permaculture Institute

“Though the problems of the world are increasingly more complex, the solutions remain embarrassingly simple...” - Bill Mollison, Co-Founder of Permaculture.

Hand in hand with our beliefs in decentralisation and small communities, we as National-Anarchists believe in sustainable and self-sufficient living. The human path of industrialisation, the metropolis and consumerism has left our environment in very bad shape. The climate is changing, animal and plant species are dying out, farming potential of our soil is weakening and the scientists claim our polar ice caps are melting... These are all important issues! What is the point in taking the power for the people and protecting our national identity, if we're only going to wither on the vine because our Earth has become uninhabitable?!

Though we may not yet be able to halt burning of fossil fuels and other negative activity currently in the hands of the state, though we can most definitely act within our own communities to begin the process of sustainable living. The more we can do within our own households and within our own collectives to become self-sufficient, the closer we are to leaving the system behind and becoming entirely independent of the State. The less time and money you spend in a supermarket, or at a petrol station, the more you are doing for not only your people but also your environment!

Growing or keeping your own food source is an excellent way to provide permanent and sustainable living. Livestock and poultry products bought from supermarkets often create a large ecological footprint from farm to dinner plate; in slaughter, butchering, travelling and the time spent at the supermarket. If you can keep even just poultry on your property, you are not only feeding yourself but you can also provide eggs for your community and are helping to keep the ecological footprint down.

Co-ownership of assets is another example of sustainable living and working within the collective. Owning a single vehicle amongst a group of neighbours may seem unworkable but if put together with public transport and co-operation it is definitely possible. Perhaps only using the vehicle when travelling a long distance and using public transport at other times, or the team doing all their shopping with one trip in the same car. The possibilities are endless and the more your team co-operates, the more you will achieve and the closer your bond and sense of community will become.

We live in changing times and if we do not do something to break the cycle of thoughtless consumerism than our future will be very dark. Do we want our children and grandchildren looking back and cursing us for our failure to act?! I certainly don't!!

SAVE OUR PEOPLE! – SAVE OUR WORLD!

I once protested out side a coumunty center, and the the owner called the cops, they threatened to arrest me and my friends, what did we do, NOTHING!. Now here the corrupt reach of the cops can't reach me. I got this from a site, and I belive in it and most of the things on the site.

Almost arrested? For nothing? That's ridiculous.
