Been a long time. I've pretty much given up on Sheezy, until I got a email about some sprite theft of my own work. A quick peak, found 150 messages awaiting me, but also had a look into this theft claim.
As it is, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. A reworking of my sheet, some added poses that I didn't cook up and some sort of 'Entrail wuz here' thing takked on. Fair enough, posted a little comment, gave a bit of advise, walked away.
Then I look in my email box again, find TWO emails about sprite theft. Same freaking sprite (the one in my avatar), but this time other people were being credited for the work (BTW, 'Sheet Copyrighted person, means that person did the work). i'm going to make this very clear...
The Mecha Sonic sheet, based on the 32-bit Bass sprite from Megaman and Bass was the culmination of work over a year. New sprites added to it every so often, designs and poses added too. After a while, I got sick of the sight of it, and left it as it was, and moved onto something I call Version2 (Which dominates the last one in design). Alvin Earthworth asked me if he could use the sprites in Mario Bros Z, and I said he could. I put a usable section of the sheet on panelmonkey.org, but did state that i just wanted a little credit in terms of either 'he made this', or no 'I MADE THIS LOLZ'
As long as that happens, what the sheet is used for, I don't give a crap. The design is old, the shading not so good, and some of the poses just don't make sense. But people seem to like it, probably because it's one of the most versitle Mecha sheets around. If it get's used, I don't care. If you see someone actually posting the sheet, or the sprite, a variation (recolour or minor edit) without any recognition, please just direct them to my sheezy page, preferably this journal.
