Dire Lie: Making a dress

That's right! I am making a dress. Not for me. For my female art manikin. I already made an outfit for my male manikin. The only problem is that I need cloth because what I have isn't working out. Does anyone have any cloth at home (scraps or whatever) that would work out for a gothic princess?
