"I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General"

I'm currently researching the roles and functions of my homeland's castles for an assignment that's due tomorrow. That, and I found a fascinating text on the Battle of Trafalgar. I am rather interested in the battle, as well as discovering all that I can about world navies.

My reason for this is because my girlfriend April's dad is a United States naval officer. It is because of this fact that I am attempting to learn as much as I can about naval forces. I hope that this educational experience may lead to greater understanding and clarity regarding the roles, battles, and functions of navies past and present.

Beyond those lofty goals, I also wanted to take an active interest in a topic that is rather significant to April on a personal level. She means the world to me, and anything that is important to her is equally important to me. :)
