So today I was taking a few pictures of Dilbert and Milton on the couch, and out of nowhere I hear the fluff of feathers moving.
Polly flew and stood next to Sir Milton and Dilbert!
Dun dun dun! *Fight music starts*
I thought she was going to try to scare them. Because yesterday, I had the little chicks on the floor, and Polly flew down next to them, and got all hissy towards them.
I told her "NO! Treat them nicely." and picked her up and put her in her cage.
She screeched a bit, like saying "Damn you, you ruined my fun!"
So today, she flew down next to them and stared at them.
Then she would slowly try get closer to them and...
Try to nibble at their feet.
They seemed not bothered at all, and it looked as if Polly just was trying to understand what they were .
She would wait until the chicks weren't looking at her, and then she would slowly get close and try to nibble at their feet, like you can see here:
She did it again and again, just to end up walking a few steps away and try to hide.
But then... she tried it again on Dilbert.
But her plan backfired, as he snapped.
Dilbert went insane he is LETHAL like no other when he is pissed off, as you can see here :
Dilbert tried to bite/poke Polly the same way she did to them, and she ran like hell. Then she jumped on my shirt and gladly went back to her cage.
That teaches her not to mess with baby chicks. They may look weak, but they are cute and fluffy, and they can and WILL poke you until you go insane if you let them.
By the way, I was a bit bored while posting this; boredom can make you go insane and post silly journals. So, sorry if something I wrote doesn't make sense at all.
lol baby chicks can be mean little bugers to others of their own kind let alone other birds. I got to see that upclose this year at an agricultural fair. One chick was being pecked to death (it was peeping like crazy, unable to get up with bleeding sores...poor thing). someone got the people running it to seperate the chick. Everytime they let the others calm down then put it back they'd all come running to kill him so they had to keep him out.
Poly must of been thinking "I'm bigger than those little flufflings, and look
they can't even fly! I'm gonna go peck those things that look like brightly colors worms with toenails now."
lol birds experience things through their mouths (much like babies) so they check things out by pecking at them, feeling things with their tongue etc. My cockateil used to grab a hold of my hand when I'd pick her up and I could feel her tongue going all over but she never bit down hard.
That was so freakin funny
Animals have so wonderful reactions
And dont stop posting these even if its out of bordom, its really cute ad interesting for us ^^ well...for me at least
