EDIT -- October 9th, 2007: Holy shit! I signed in today to see a cluster of new watchers and lots of comments containing the word "feature". I eventually put two and two together and realized that my "Sketchbook -- Hands" sketch was chosen as "featured art" recently. On one hand (and I'm really resisting the urge to make more puns involving hands, count yourselves lucky) I'm totally flattered... on the other hand I'm completely baffled! LOL! It's a bunch of little sketches I churned out in five minutes or so... it's kind of embarrassing, I don't really feel it's got any featurely qualities to speak of. But! A lovely person named Tiomara was kind enough to select it, so I shan't complain!

Issall good! Thanks for the feature, and thanks to everyone who came to visit my gallery because of it!

It's been a while since I updated here; just thought I'd drop in and assure you all that I am not dead.

I've simply had a very busy 2007 -- new relationship after 4 years of singlehood, moving out of my parents' house (finally! I mean we got along great and all but holy crap), building a life with my man and our kids (the cats, I mean), and making the reluctant decision to go back to school after already graduating university in 2003. I opted to learn a trade (since my bachelor of arts in English/philosophy doesn't exactly, shall we say, razzle-dazzle the job market) and I'm currently taking a 2-year graphic arts program that keeps me very, very busy. I'm also still working part-time at my warehouse job (wheee), which means, in essence, that sleep has become my new best friend and I can't wait to spend quality time with it at the end of every day.
However, this is not to say that I've stopped drawing -- it's just slowed a little. I get to doodle a lot in class (yay art program!), so that's what most of my recent works are the result of. I'm afraid I don't have the time to sit down for serious drawing sessions in my free time at home anymore, 'cause most of my free time has to go towards mundane obligations like cooking, cleaning, errands, and whatnot.

Plus I have Barry and the kitties and they require some attention every now and then too.
Anyway, that's what's going on with me at the moment. I'm a lot busier than I used to be, but I must say I'm also much happier.

Change is good!
Thanks to all for the continued interest in my art. I appreciate every new +watch and

I get here at Sheezy!

THE REN ESSENTIALS

For the love o' criminy!
PLEASE READ MY F.A.Q. BEFORE CONTACTING ME OR COLORING MY ARTWORK. I will no longer be answering e-mails or notes that refer to questions already listed there.
My website, yo! Info about prints, originals, commissions, and trades can be found here.

Please, don't ask to color my work. If I want something colored, I will go looking for someone to do it, or I would do it myself. This is in my FAQ, but I get asked often enough that it bears repeating.

I don't comment or interact much because A) I am shy, B) I don't have enough time, and C) commenting out of obligation is no fun and makes being online feel like a chore. But rest assured I love ya just the same.

I do not critique, and I am not here to be critiqued. There are plenty of folks here who appreciate having their art dissected, but I'm not one of them. By no means do I consider my art perfect, but I don't feel there is any right or wrong way to draw and I resent it when someone suggests something about my work looks "wrong" because it doesn't suit their personal tastes. I don't feel I have any authority to tell someone else how to express themselves artistically, so I don't critique, even when asked. Please respect me enough to extend me the same consideration.
