I haven't done a journal in a HECKA long time. Jeeeeeeez. So I picked this survey from a friend on DA and hurr it is!

1. I try reeeeeeally hard to NOT draw anime but all my friends and acquaintances are always like “hay ur Maranda who drawz the animay” and I want to punch them xD

2. I can’t concentrate without music. When I draw I’m always listening to something, like the TV or the radio or a CD or something.

3. My style of digital art changes every time I do a picture. They’re all different, and I always change my style and raagh it’s annoying since I can’t stick with anything good. :<

4. I went through a phase when I drew nothing but black and white pictures with blood and gore and creepy things. I blame Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, personally. xD

5. My oldest character is Saber, who is 5 years old. He’s changed quite a bit. xD

6. My parents totally support my art sometimes to a fault and they’re always pressuring me to “draw more! Draw more!” and they’re always telling their coworkers and such that “omg my daughters an artist cool huh” but personally, I can never talk about my art without sounding all high and mighty and arrogant.

7. I wish I could write stories or portray somehow the deepness of my characters but I JUST CAN’T D: So I pressure myself to keep trying to make my characters more complex and real. It’s hard.

8. I like to paint with oils, but as of now nothing in oils is in my gallery.

9. I started drawing when I signed up for Neopets.com, and when I started to play Pokemon Silver and Golden Sun. Those games are really important to me. :<

10. I fail at drawing buildings or anything man-made that involves high detail perspective.

Worrying about the Senior projects and hoping my JUNIOR projects are ok and wtf am I doing with my life.

I have a hard time understanding:
Why people are so mean to other people. D: And math.

Last night:
I sat around reading and playing Pokemon while talking to a friend about the upcoming anime convention. Harr.

Parents:
They’re cool. xD But they nag me a lot… but what kind of parents would they be if they didn’t?

Are you an only child?:
Yess’m.

If you have siblings are you the oldest?:
I’m the oldest AND the youngest 8D 8D

Do you have any pets?:
I have a dog names Patches who’s really great, and two chickens named Timber and Skittle who are totally spoiled. But they’re cool anyhow. xD Skittle thinks she’s a rooster and she crows all the time, and Timber is a, well, I dunno, a chicken who’s addicted to dog food.

Do you get depressed about things easily?
Mmmm, no.

Are you happy right now?
I suppose, I mean, I’m not totally sad or anything. I’m just glad I have a day to finish my summer homework and play Pokemon. And today I’m actually going to get dressed!

Are you comfortable with the way you look?
Hmm… I wish I was just a bit thinner ‘round the middle but people tell me I’m fine. xD So, really… I wish I didn’t have allergies or acne.

Short, brown, and right now, really dirty.

PART 5: RANDOM

Are you scared of growing up old and alone?
HELLS NO. I’m by myself a lot anyway so having my own place sounds so nice. x3

Do you have a license?
Yep! Got it the beginning of August. But I can’t carry passengers until February. xD

Ever been kicked out of a bar?
No.

PART 6: THE OUTDOORS

Do you prefer indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors! But I do like the indoors sometimes, too. Like when it’s reeeally cold outside and I have a fire and a blanket

Do you like walking in the rain?
HELLS YES
I go outside when it rains just to walk in it and get wet and listen to the rain falling.

Do you like thunderstorms?
Yessss. Once in Florida I went out to my aunt’s dock on the lake and sat there with my stuffed Corgi watching the lightning for like an hour. It was magical.

Ever peed outside?
Uh, yeah. Hello! Camping!!

PART 7: FOOD

Are you a vegetarian?
No. Although I have considered it, but then my parents would shun me. xD I do like meats though.

Anything you absolutely could eat forever?
Cantelope melon or Chinese food. Or those mini pizzas you put in a microwave. Super delicious!

What is your favorite dessert?
Crepes. But I guess that’s a breakfast? Uhh I like mochi too.

PART 8: RELATIONSHIPS AND LOVE

Do you want to get married?
Sure, if I meet someone cool :3

Uhhh I dunno. Mine sure did.

PART 9: RANDOM QUESTIONS

1. Where is your cell phone?
In my room, turned off. No one ever calls my cellphone.

Psh, broken record!!

4. Where is your father?
At work. HE WORKS SO HARD *sniff*

Mmmm. Cheesy and cakey.

6. Your favorite thing to do?
Eat food, drink tea, read, listen to music/the radio, draw, relax and not feel bad about it.

7. Your dream last night?:
Oh it was great, like all my dreams. xD Ok so me and my parents were going on a vacation to this town that was build on the other side of a big dam. So there was a lot of water parks and fountains and lakes and ponds. (Almost all of my dreams have something to do with water, really.) So we were staying in a hotel. It was kind of stucco, terra cotta, California-style looking building. And my friend Sonja was with us. I remember our hotel, when you opened the door you could see the whole town, all the glittering waters and pools and everything. And looming over the top of the town was the dam, tall as a skyscraper and long and sleek and a concrete giant. On either side of it were big golden cliffs, so the town was kind of nestled in this canyon.
Anyway, Sonja and I were going to go swimming so we ran down the black metal stairs (clank clank clank clank) and when we got to this pool literally right at the end of the stairs, there was a 12 year old kid with dirty blonde hair in an inner tube swimming around. We talked to him for a while and laughed and swam and then it was getting late so we left to go back to the hotel room. When we got there, mom was running around trying to catch something. She said a little white bird got into the hotel and he seems like a baby and we need to save him. So we end up catching this birdy, and he’s TOTALLY CUTE. He’s off-white with dark brown spots, and a long neck and long naked legs. And once he got used to me holding him, he reached up with his long skinny neck and nuzzled my chin x3 And I remember how I wanted to keep him forever. And so me, the birdy, and Sonja sat on the black fence and watched the sun set over the cliffs.

The office. There’s a twin bed, a nightstand, and Patches is sleeping on it and omg she’s so cute. x3

Falling off of a moving object. Like a bike or a scooter or a rollercoaster! xD And Of course I fear losing people and most of all I fear I’ll never grow up to be who I wanna be and wah all that crap.
Also, mascots scare me. You know, like those people who dress up in animal costumes and run around and hug little kids and EWW they freak me out.

In Washington, but then I lived in South Carolina for a while (half a year lol) but since then I’ve been in Washington again. And I like it here x3

A yellow shirt that says “PYROS R US” in red letters and some black exercise pants. And a mood ring! :3 I never take it off. Right now it’s… dark red. That means my hands are cold. ;D
