Here are the next batch!

If Lies Were Dreams (Last Revised: March 2007)
Britain considered herself a smart girl. Top of the class and all that. She always was, probably always will be. A normal, above-intelligence girl. So the last thing she counted on was a certain project meddling with her school. First, they set themselves up as a “Gifted and Talented†class. But when the children started dying--heart attacks, seizures--they knew that that ruse wouldn’t last long. So instead they set up a boarding school in California, where no one would ever know what they were actually doing.
They were experimenting with the children.
They were trying to make them smarter.
When her parents died in a car crash and the state found it a waste of effort to find foster parents when such a “prestigious school†was begging to take her in, Britain found herself sucked into a 24-hour cycle of tests and mind-enhancing drugs. Her classmates and other children who she had never met before are dying by the day, their minds being pushed to their limits. And there is only one thought on her mind: I have to get out of here.
-----Started out as a roleplay, but then certain people began to butcher the storyline. The beginning and the ending are totally planned through and through, but the events leading from one to the other is missing (I’m not too worried about that, though, because that’s kinda expected). Britain is really the only character I’m comfortable with. I have a rather mellow interest with this one, since I find it interesting to plot out complex strategems.
Death is Not My Enemy (Last Revised: August 2007)
Cassidy Ree barely remembers what life was like outside the walls of the coliseum. She knows how to make a sword, but she’s rather horrible at making friends. She knows how to dodge a blow from any side, but how to dodge words is another story. She doesn’t want to fall for her best friend; instead, she convinces herself that all she wants is out.
And a chance to escape has made itself clear in the form of something called The Crystal Gates Tournament. The winner is given the key to the entrance of the coliseum, symbolically letting them walk away from their gladiator life a free person. Cass wants that key, and will let no one get in her way.
-----This is probably the story I have planned out the most; the characters, the story, the ending--it’s all there! One problem, though: I’m bored with it, now. I know how everything’s going to turn out, I can tell the story with my eyes closed, and it’s no fun for me to write anymore.
Czarah vs. God (Last Revised: August 2007)
Czarah is that girl in school that everyone notices but instantly wishes they didn’t. With her bitchy attitude and sarcastic comments, she hardly shows respect for anyone nowadays. She has no outside life, she has no friends, and she CERTAINLY doesn’t believe in God.
Not after what He let happen to her.
But this wouldn’t do at all; not for God, anyway. So He proposes a game. Every time something good happens to her, God gets a point. And every time Czarah does something nice for someone else, she gets one. The prize…? If Czarah wins, she gets one wish--one wish to spend on absolutely anything she wants. But what exactly does Czarah truly want? Not even God Himself can answer that question…
-----I’ve never created a stronger character than Czarah. I know how she would respond to anything and I can tell you in a heartbeat. But how to go about this plotline? I’m really still trying to figure it out. :/

czarah vs. god. it's just quirky, and original. and either way, czarah will become a better person. ((through good things happening to her and for her doing nice things for others :]))
Satchan Says:
I like the sound of If Lies Were Dreams best...it sounds very tricky and interesting.
EtherealMog Says:
This would most certainly be Czarah vs. God.
I like the other stories but the first, If Lies Were Dreams, seems cliche in a way- a smart kid being sent to a place to be made smarter and in between people are getting hurt and killed, kind of like (if you ever read them) those Demon Headmaster kids books. The second Death is Not My Enemy is intriguing but again a tad cliche for my tastes, you have the Gladiator wanting to escape into freedom and fight her way to the top- also that you have lost interest in this makes it a poor candidate for completion.
However in Czarah vs. God you have an interesting character at first, someone going against god himself and playing a game with him, someone that as the story progresses you will learn to love for their sarcasm and harsh comments because it is their charm. Also here there is the element that anything can happen to Czarah and shape her as you write it now- and as Koshizzle says; you can tell she is going to become a better person through it all which is going to be interesting to see.
Hope this helps

Czarah vs. God!

I find it a very interesting prospect (I actually remember reading part of this one here on SA and loved it), and I can see room for humor in it, too. And strong female characters are just awesome to work with; I love all of mine, anyway. I also agree with EtherealMog that the other two are more cliche, and that's always something we can do without
