What the hell happened to the photography category on SheezyArt? A year ago I remember there being great photographers uploading really beautiful photos all the time. I would make it a habit every day or at least every week flipping through every category to see what new stuff had been posted and at least favoriting 2 or 3 things. Sure they didn't always get the best recognition but there was a small cult of photography followers.

Now I just looked through about 6 days worth of photos and I found one, ONE photo worth favoriting. This one here…oh wait, I’d give you the link but it appears it was a stolen image.

The rest of them are shitty pictures of people’s friends that only they care about, pictures of fish, pictures that someone took of their name they wrote in ink on a wall, more pictures of themselves or friends that no one but them cares about with a big yellow date mark on them, friggin’ dolls posed to look like they’re having sex, a drawing of a Nartuo toon, a photograph of a drawing of a random furry toon drawn on a whiteboard, a washed out photo of Naruto statues someone must have found on the street, an edited photo the person didn’t even take, MORE drawings in the wrong category, MORE photos of zit-faced teens acting all angsty or staring out a window, a few scattered photos that had potential but were poorly executed so they just look silly, lalalala more fish, more stupid people taking bad photos of themselves, dog photo with the flash too bright, wtf is that even supposed to BE?!

Photo of a pokemon figurine, more drawings in the wrong category…yadda yadda…,crappy photos of some girl with pink hair streaks that double submitted the photos a few days apart, …washing machines??, someone obsessed with taking photos of her eye, oh this is a good one: two girls dressed in Naruto costumes getting ready to kiss each other, way to go ladies, sexy.

…is that a macro photo of someone popping a zit?? MORE Naruto drawings in the wrong category, are Naruto fans all retarded? Can they not read?


WTF PEOPLE?!


Oh and by the way, just because you make a photo black and white doesn’t make it high art. It just makes it a shitty photo you threw in Photoshop and desaturated. And putting lots of shadows in also does not make a photograph high art. It just makes it a shitty photo you threw in Photoshop and used the burn tool on. Nice try but not good enough, idiot.

Before the mobs turn and yell “you have submitted shitty photos too, hypocrite!” allow me to say one thing: The crappy photos of the kittens that I didn’t intend to be artistic in any form but just submitted for you guys to see I had to put into a category because wip’s didn’t exist yet in either any form or any convenient form. Actually I’m planning on going through my gallery and deleting a bunch of junk photos now that the whole system has been put in place. These people have no excuse.

No wonder photographs don’t get featured all that much or make the frontpage as much as others…the ratio of worthy photos versus crap is ridiculous.

By the way, to anyone that may respond by saying "All photos/drawings are art to the person who did it!" or "Everything is art!". You're wrong. End of story. Go lace one up and hug that tree over there and leave those in the real world alone.
