Hello!

OK. Yes. Still unemployed. Annoyed about that, of course, but at the moment I'm keeping myself so busy with sorting out the new record label site and release preparations (release date is 7 August - next Tuesday! Eeeee!) that I really couldn't care less about the job stuff right now... ahahah... is that awful? :) (Well I have been applying for various things jobs week, but no responses so far. So whatever! Neh!)

Soooooo!

New site!!

It looks a bit primitive right now but:

http://www.faefly-records.co.uk

(That's what you get when you give an un-artistic person Photoshop. HAAAH! But it's kind of cute... yes? xD)

And and and there are exciting things happening, like a ziiiiiine! Ok. A few too many vowels there but yes, a zine. 'Tis a zine about DIY art (art as in all forms of artsy things i.e. anything you would find here on SA) and creativity. It's non-commercial. I just thought it'd be a really interesting thing to do.

So that is my current subject of pondering. I'm thinking of things to include and looking for interesting people to interview.

In fact I'd really like to interview the creator of SheezyArt because this sort of place is exactly the kind of bubbling DIY internet culture that I think is so awesome. Hee hee.

Oooh but ALSO:

If you fancy being featured in the zine for your work then please let me know! That could either be in the form of simply a piece of art or writing that could be put in there, or some thoughts about what you do and why/how you do it... or if you've been involved in collaborative projects that you have something to say about that could be good as well.

Note that if I get a lot of requests, I won't be able to include everything because I'm limiting space to 16 pages (14 usable, because of front and back covers - but then cover-art could be another possibility for showcasing, perhaps!)

Basically, there are no real rules for this, aside from that it must be related to DIY art i.e. self-made, self-published etc. Like, I wouldn't interview someone for the magazine who is a musician signed to a label who takes care of all their recording and production for them, because that, to my mind, pushes it out of the DIY category. But round here I believe most of you are pretty much DIY anyway, yes? :)

OK, this was a bit of a ramble, but there is more information at:

and

And now.... breakfast time. Bye bye. xxx

Oh, I don't think your website is anywhere near as bad as you think it is! Sketchy is a legitimate art style, and it actually has a lot of charm the way it is. Not everything has to be photo-perfect or vector-precise!

If you wish, I would be willing to talk about The Way of the Shadow Blade, which right now I am publishing openly online, and eventually intend to self-publish. Going the traditional way is not even an option I want to consider.

I think your site is cute . Its defenitly gives like an artsy feel to it.

And I've never been featured for anything really,(on the internet anyway) but if you wanted to, I'd be more then happy to pitch in if you wanted to interview me. :3

I like the style on the site, it's slick, and consistent, which are two important things. I don't think I'll be taking part in the zine, purely because I can't rely on myself for deadlines or being able to come up with anything useful, unless you'd want to just give me a topic or write on or use one of my already-written poems

But yes, good luck :) Things seem to be going well, and I'm sure you'll find a job :)
