Aspic Viper: My sister-in-law's baby

My sister-in-law is 17 weeks pregnant. Yesterday they found out that her blood is attacking the baby's red blood cells. It is not because of Rh factor. It is because the baby's red blood cells are carrying an antigen that my sister-in-law's immune system sees as an invader. My brother's red blood cells have this same antigen.
