tsunami90's FAQs

Who is Morgan Cooper?
- Morgan Cooper is a fan character I made for the Sly Cooper games... There will be more released about her later.

Is your real name Morgan?
- No. My real name is IN NO WAY affiliated with Morgan's. Her name was based on trial and errors, in a way, but still no where close to mine.

... Then what is your real name?
- Kimberly C.

How long have you been drawing/ writing?
- I've been drawing for a very long time, before I was ever placed into school; but, I took a true interest in it when I was around the 4th grade (around the time I got my first Crash Bandicoot game. My writing interest wasn't really nurtured until around the 7th grade, when I had to create stories and poetry for my English teacher... Hopefully she'll be proud to know that she was a bigger encouragement than I thought back then... ^^.

Where do you live?
- Sorry, I don't give out my location.

If I give you a link to one of my pics/fics, will you look at it?
- If you're a VERY close friend, then maybe. But if it becomes a problem, that you begin asking me to look at everything you do, I will ignore your comments.

What's your motivation?
- Motivation?... I 'go with the flow', for the most part... But, when motivation strikes, it's either because there's been a significant event to occur in my life or a friend's life, I've been moved by a song or another artist/author (I give credits when that occurs), or when I run on my emotions.

Do you do requests?
- NO!... Requests are so annoying, and I hate them... Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't take requests... I may occasionally feel generous and do gifts for random friends, though.

Do you like criticism on your work?
- To a certain degree, yes. But, it must be constructive criticism like this for example:
" You did a good job, but you may want to practice a little more on your proportions/ sentence structure..."
That is okay... But if it's something like:
" This pic sux!!! You're a terrible artist/writer!!!"
Then that's just rude, and will be ignored.

What do you think of your own art?
- My own art, eh? Well, to me, it's good, but it's not the best. I've seen artists' works that have blown my away! I admit that I have been jealous of some of those artists for their superior skills, and the beauty they create with their media, but there's no need of me to hold grudges against those people. That's not what art's about. In fact, I encourage them to carry on with the wonderful skill you've been blessed with! Maybe over the years, if I continue to practice with different styles and medias, I'll be closer to becoming as good as you all. ^^ But, back to the question, I have noticably improved over the years, and my recent art is much better [in my own opinion] that some pieces that I've done a few months ago... Yep. Months... That's because I'm always trying to change how my art appears. ^^

How do you feel about Art Thieves/ Rippers?
- Ugh. It's a disgrace to the world of art to have to put up with people like that. I'm sorry, but it's true; people that steal someone else's work, and slaps their own name on it make me sick... Art to the artist is like showing the world a part of yourself; if someone else steals that artwork, it's like they've stolen a piece of yourself. Same goes for characters, either fan art characters or original. Why let someone else get the credit when it's you that puts your heart into the page with each stroke of the pen?... It's not right.
There, I'll stop my rant. Many apologies. ^^

What medias do you use?
- Well, I tend to use alot, but my primary medias are Sharpie Pens, Colored Pencils, .07 mm Lead Pencils... Traditional stuff. I also tend to use Photo Explosion or MX Paint to my advantage when possible...

Where do you get the ideas for your character's biographies?... Alot of them are sad!!!
- To be truthful, I use my imagination; I know that to have a good storyline, you have to have conflict going on... It kind of runs the same way with making a character. You want to be able to use that character over and over again within a story, so you must create alot of things to go against them and create conflict within their life. My characters don't have the best of lives, I admit, but I based them off of real things that have happened to people that either I know or I've heard about... Of all my OCs, KC Bandicoot has to be one of the happiest, because her life is based upon my own... Thank TV for a lot of these tragedies...

How do you go through the process of creating OCs?
- LOTS of footnotes... Be glad I crop a good lot of my pics, because if I didn't, you'd see everything I've jotted down on top of the paper. :) For the appearance of a character, I do tons of trial and error; I'll probably go through at least 3 sheets of paper just sketching until I like what I see (That's what I did with Jacob Remmington, Emily Clawson and Mandrid Nohn... They're not the first, and more than likely won't be the last!) I use those footnotes on the papers (which are both appearance and personality notes) and sort them out... The pros will stay, while the cons are either discarded, or used for another character. Morgan is a great example of the pros/cons system; her name was actually the subject of it when I first made her... I'm glad I decided on Morgan, and not any of the other names... ^^

Can you name all of your OC's?

What are your favorite fandoms to draw for?
- I mostly draw for Crash Bandicoot, Sly Cooper, and the SWAT Kats... Lately I've been getting more into different genres as well, such as the Angry Beavers, Ratchet and Clank, and Spyro the Dragon... So, for short: Just about anything.

Why didn't you reply to my comment/ note, or leave a comment on my art?!
- I'm human; sometimes I don't get to leave comments as much as I should, and I tend to accidentally delete or overlook things... If I do this, and you feel offended for any reasons, I apologize... But, I just can't get to all of my updates sometimes... Also, I have received comments on my pics that are completely random, and relate to nothing in my pic, and those I choose to ignore.... Sorry to sound rude, carry on with the FAQs...

Have you ever had to ignore anyone on DA/SA/FAC/etc. yet?
- Sadly, yea... But, only because I've had to...

How do people get onto your "ignore list"?...
- If you spam up my userpage/ journals/ pics comments (Roleplays ARE exceptions..) Also, if you leave rude, disrespectful comments about me or flames, then you can bet that you're on your way to the box of ignore. That's the only reasons I've had to move people there so far...

Do you like comments of favorites better?
- I like comments over faves, but I guess I don't really care. A fave means that you approve of the pic, so I'm not going to be picky, .

I watched you, will you watch me?...
- Please, don't ask me that. Don't want to sound testy, but I'll watch you if I want to, not because you ask or tell me to... I'd rather watch you because I truly like your art, not because you asked me to.

Where else can I find you on the Internet?
- Here's a list of the ONLY places to find me on the 'net. [Some are seldom used, but oh well. ^^]

Where have you been, Kim?! You're neglecting your DA/SA/FAC Page...
- Well, I have to agree there. But my life's been really fast-paced lately. I mean, just a few weeks ago I graduated high school, my sister had a baby, I had finals... Need I say more? lol. I haven't meant to neglect my art, but I've kinda been forced to. Don't worry, though. I'm gonna try and change that really soon.

What are all of the ways you've expanded your character's bios/personalities, etc?
- Oh, goodness, there's been so many different ways that I've tried to expand the stories and such of my characters... Though, most of them are not on the internet, I've written biographies, and even gave a list of desired VOAs, for people to know how my characters would ever sound like. Go HERE to see that list. :]
