So, Model UN was today. So as to say, my class organized it for the grade 11's. Now, normally I would be happy about missing a whole day of classes, but not when I have to deal with a whole room of annoying kids instead.

I wasn't chairing any of the councils (I hate speaking in front of people), but I was the page for HR, which was... much more tiring than I thought. Let me first tell you what us pages did: We delivered notes from one delegate to another, and sometimes between councils, and from delegates to the dais. Now, that's all fine and dandy, but I was the only page there. Meaning that I had to, first of all READ the notes, then find whoever it was they were intended to (harder than it sounds, a bunch of people didn't have their placards out. There was a lot of going up to the dais and asking if somebody was even HERE). You might ask why the reading -- Well, first of all I had to make sure they were appropriate. Second of all, that they were worth passing on. About 50% of them were basically "lol this sux u gonna tlk?" Moreover, this one girl who was Cuba kept hitting on a bunch of guys over notes, and after a while, I just got fed up and chucked the ones that didn't have anything to do with resolutions, or the subject we were discussing.

All in all, it seems the HR was kind of a joke. Somebody was nice enough (Ryan?) to go out and get Starbucks for everyone. And the guy representing Belgium gave us all waffles. BELGIAN waffles, no less. Hahaha, bribery.

Went to the library after. They have russian movies now, yay! Mom is gonna be proud of me. I think. Maybe.
