- Boss Battle -- Gradius V
I finally got Gradius V in the mail, and I must say it’s one hell of a game. For Gradius fans, it’s standard fare : a scrolling shooter game where players play as Vic Viper, a souped up starfighter and battle against the evil Bacterion Empire that’s trying to destroy planet Gradius. Most gamers should know by now that Gradius is perhaps infamous for it’s high difficulty level and that hold true for Gradius V. No matter what the situation, it won’t take long for the whole damn screen to be filled with lasers and baddies coming in all sorts of directions, forcing the player to have mastery of control of his/her ship.
I wasn’t sure if it would be better then Gradius III but I was wrong. The game has everything you'd come to expect from Gradius. I totally recommend it if you’re looking for a really challenging game. If you buy it, be sure to buy if from Konami’s site, most other places are selling it at a bad price. And be sure to hurry, too. They won't last for long. Kudos to Treasure for developing such an excellent game.
