"Ready Steady Go!"--L'arc en Ciel
It's the final stretch: I'm attempting to finish studying for a test I have in...well, less than 12 hours, and the start of either a long night cramming (which I'd like) or a night where I give up and just sleep, which I'd also like. It doesn't help that if I don't pass this final exam with flying colors, I might lose scholarships and funding, thus costing my already near-broke parents more money than they're already shelling out to help my brother and I through college.

My sister gave birth to her second son a few weeks ago. As usual, it's another bouncing bag of cute and stinky (I can't stand kids). She complains it looks too much like her man; I can't see any resemblance, myself.

We've finally scrounged the money together to buy a new home. Our base of operations will now be in Natchitoches, Louisiana; basically trailer-park country. But hey, a home's a home. I just hope it won't be washed away like the last one. I plan to get a summer job to help pay for some of the costs next semester; my mother, already working at a rich woman's mansion as a head gardener, says everyone and their grandma's lookin' for hired hands.

Next semester, if I get above a 3.0 GPA this semester, promises to be much more relaxed: three studio classes and an anthropology course. I'm finally moving forward in the art program here, instead of stagnating with only one studio each semester.

So, that final stretch? Can't fuckin' wait. Can't fuckin' wait to see my family again, have the cat bite me, have the smelly dog try and lick me, wake up in the mornin', finally, to find people who care.

A welcome respite from a roommate that lets the door slam on his way out when I'm tryin' to sleep. But thems tha beats.

Peace for now.

The end is the best part. I love that feeling of being done and going home and all that good stuff.

What are you majoring in? I get that whole thing with not feeling like you make any progress in art sometimes; our department can be like that too. I had to take stuff all out of order because I transferred and it was crazy, and I think I only have one art-related class next semester, and art's my major. That's going to be a little depressing. Holy snot-rockets, Batman! I didn't realize that's where you were... down in the uh... well, the kill zone.

Funny, I was in nathic... One of many towns whose name I can't pronounce, hence remember how to spell, in Lou-Zee-Anna. (Note: 'round abouts Bat'n Rooh I more frequently hear it called "Luh-zah-an-Uh") and down south of New Orleans (yes, there is a south of New Orleans) they say "Luh-ZAnna".

... sorry for the randomality...
I had meant to say props on the new house (invest in about 200 tons of concrete, I recommend highly - just build your own damn levy) and good luck on the exam.

And, I 0wnz you on another individuality: I hates the evilslimebucket-pink slug-parasites otherwise known as babies (and children) too! HahahahaHAAHHAHA! ... okay, no more 2.5am posting for fox. @_o;

Studying: My experience is that it's most effective to just read over all the review and sleep/eat as much as you need to. Don't try to memorize anything to begin with or you won't get to anything else. What you read will most likely be stored in your subconciousness. Whatever time you have left should be dedicated to what will be essay questions.
Though if you've read this before the test, it's probably too late to offer advice.

Job: One job that is very in demand is a Nurse's Aide at a nursing home... but I'm pretty sure you need to attend a class for that. I'd ask about becomming a Dietairy Aide, which is basically a cook's helper. It's better than fast food because the meals change and you deal with the same customers all the time. The only drawbacks: the fact that the residents usually don't get better and end up dying, and you have to deal with the pureed menue, which isn't that bad. (Pureed cookies taste good because they're not hard and they come with their own milk, haha! It's like cookie-flavored pudding.)
I don't know if you'd prefer that, but most people don't consider it, so I'm just throwing it out there.
