A new fad, I guess. It looked fun so whatevs. I got this from and saw that did it to, so I figured, why not?

Most of my life, I've been called Betha or Bella. Both of which are derived from my actual name. I've had several other nicknames, like Neo, Ashuu, Cye, Li, Chel, Alo, Alae, the list goes on and on. The nickname that stuck though was Nephie. Nephie originated back on a private RO server. I had created a High Priest and named her Nephele (it means Cloudy in Greek), and everyone started calling me "Neph" to shorten it. To me, Neph sounded more masculine so I decided to make a High Wizard, sick an ie at the end and thus, Nephie was born. Eventually I grew to hate the nickname and still do sometimes, usually only when it's badly overused.

Before Nephie, there was Alo. Alo originated from Alorae, a character I created on the MMO, Dark Ages. Albeit I haven't played DA in years, but Alo became a fairly common name around the game itself and I am still called it on some occasions. Alae (short for Alaenya) originated the same way. Unfortunately half the populace of DA thought Alae and Alo were two different people and treated them as such. :/ In the DA world, they're big on roleplaying, so overall Alae and Alo were "sisters", even though they were controlled by the same person.

Betha has a rather.. detailed origin. While I'm more commonly known as Nephie or Alo on the net, in real life people usually call me Betha or Bella. People used to call me Beth for short, but I always hated the name. Eventually an old friend of mine (he passed away a few years ago in a car accident) started calling me Bethar to annoy me, knowing it would. Eventually he and this girl I grew up with started calling me Betha and it stuck. I tried to get my other friends to call me Betha, but instead they call me Beth. Very few of my real life friends call me Bella, most call me Belle (I HATE that).
