Kay. So I got my new computer today (a little earlier than expected..) and I had planned on sending it back to help my mom with car expenses, but she insisted on me keeping it. Unfortunately I'm not sure if I want to now.
I've been on the phone with technical support for the last two hours trying to find out how to make the speakers work, and HOW to transfer hard drives. To my dismay, my old hard drive is not compatible with my new one, meaning it would cause the computer to fail which ALSO means that the guy I bought it from lied to me. =/
Now I have to go buy an external HD and get my files off my old computer... which means I do not have access to photoshop right now, or pretty much anything for that matter. Arg.. Dx; I don't know how my mom's going to take that news since she has to somehow come up with 5k to repair our exploded car engine. =/ I'll probably just continue to use my old computer for the time being until I get the external HD.
I also need speakers and a monitor.. hell it would have been easier just to buy a new computer. Ugh. With all these accessories I'll have to buy, it would have come out to the same price anyway. ;/ I'm just glad that my iPod dock is external so I don't need to reinstall iTunes for awhile.

Yes, Pcs can be truly awesome. I can't afford a new one so I am eeping a PC alive which should have died 4-5 years ago

And why do you need a new monitor....? Is something wrong with the one you use now? O_o;
Hmm. That stinks though. D: Lol it's for things like this I'm glad me/my family is computer savvy. Lol we never buy factory computers... we never have. We were given our first computer from one of my dad's friends... and ever since then my dad learned how to build computers... and he taught all of us how to do it too. :b So I only have to replace a part on my computer when it explodes or when I want a better one. Yey. DX

Computers can really make my blood boil when they don't work right. And then technical support is never really helpful. I'm sorry to hear that about your new computer! I wish I could help but I'm terrible when it comes to stuff like that. =(
My first is just so screwed up, luckily we had a back-up. But it was a little messed up too so I had to stick a CD in that would completely wipe it. And I had no CD's to store anything on, so I just got completely screwed. T.T
But! I got my internet back so hopefully I can comment on your journals the day they're posted instead of three days after... >.>;;;
I hope your mom gets her car fixed! It sucks not being able to get around, as well as having to pay to get it fixed. =(
