What day is it today? Ah yes, Monday. Its Monday and /finally/ I'm feeling much more like myself again! This started around last Wednesday, I thought I might have caught strep throat but my cold turned out to be a viral thing. Still for about a whole week Ive been so stuffed up I could hardly breathe through my nose, had trouble sleeping, dry mouth, swore throat, more or less feeling crappy and the boogar flood gates open at full flow! I think I went through a big tissue box and a half! Its been a exhausting six days of generally feeling ill. But last night I managed to sleep while breathing through my nose and sleeping pretty well throughout it. My throat still feels a bit strange and dry back there, but I feel more awake and alert then I have since catching the cold. I'm taking this as a sign its finally on the way out of my body!

It looks like things will be warming up again this coming week which is nice, I am ready for some warmer spring weather. My strawberries are already growing for crying out loud so enough with the snow, winter you had your chance and came to late, so pack up your bags and come back next winter, on time! hehe. As for Art... I've kind of stepped away from the oil painting since I got sick and not I'm not all that inspired to work on it right now. If I forced it I dont think it would come out to the potential it has, so I'm putting it on the back burner and started on something new. I started a mixed medium similar to the equines I have been doing but this time drew a dragon. Its been a long time since I drew some detail dragon idea, that just pop to mind. This one is pretty unique looking, I think it will turn out fairly decent. So thats what I'm doing now.

A request for a custom sculpture came through just last night and it sounds like I will be officially working on it. Its a neat and original idea based off the clients personal fantasy character. I love brining those kinds of things to life. I was given great descriptions of it and a reference image even! I forgot how long its been since I was hired to do a commission. My last two were back before Christmas time! This kind of makes me feel back on the wagon so to speak. Its not been to encouraging with the lack of sales on ebay and cafepress. I'm hoping that things are going well for me on EMG and I'm eager for an update to see if I made any sales there since adding more artwork.

I did get some detail about ConnectiCon, they updated the site with the information on the artist colony but still arent taking applications yet. I guess they are busy and behind in arranging everything. Unless Tom gets a raise we are waiting on soon I dont know if we will be able to afford to go. It all depends on when we can register with the Con and when money becomes available. Hopefully it will come together around the same time.

I also watched V for Vendettaa over the weekended, might I say it was a super awesome movie and I loved it! I recommend it to all, its definitely one of my top most favorite movies of all time!
