While in a pChat with Sii and enciv, my Wacom tablet finally bit the dust just as I was finishing up a picture of Rayman. I nearly NEVER draw Rayman, either. It seems as though everything I own has been crumbling on me, save for my Hard Drive, which is safely outside of it's defective case... It's as if some cosmic force wants to impede the progress of Project Accordionman. Looks like I won't be drawing for a long, LONG time... with no scanner, I can't upload any drawings that I don't do with a mouse. My family is quite strapped for cash right now, so a new tablet will have to go on the backburner for now.
I'll miss you, Wacom Tablet...

yeah, technology craps out at the worst possible times. i filled my 75gig harddrive one night and was talking to my friend about good external harddrives to buy. the very next morning, my harddrive crashes. turns out it's corrupted. BAH.
i have since learned not to depend on technology. and hardcopies are AWESOME.

Would it be possible to temorarily switch to a really cheap tablet or anything? I got mine for £15 about a year ago and I've seen cheap ones with the pressure sensitivity and everything as cheap as £8.
It would be a pity if you had to stop drawing for a long time over this.

Hey, the most usual reason why Wacom tablets die is because of the cord that might have snapped. If you're never going to use it again, try opening it where the cord is connected to the pad and make sure it's not something you can fix yourself. Cheers~ :)

I got some sort of guarantee on my Wacom, I can send it in whenever seems corrupt. I heard they take their time on fixing it though...
Nevertheless, that kind of sucks. Life seems somewhat boring if you have focused on digital art for a while. :<
