hi guys i'm not dead
here is a more detailed explanation of my disappearance to save myself typing it twice.
among other things: i am dead sick of people making comments that basically translate to "lol art is a fluff major and art majors are all idiots." this does not stem from sheezy, per se, but seeing how it's an art community i thought maybe someone could relate? i've been up till 2 at least every night this week just to keep my head above water, only one of these nights being actual artwork i was working on. i work my ass off for this. all my classes this semester excepting one are art-related. fluff major my ass. just because you don't understand WHY someone is doing something and calling it "art" doesn't necessarily make it "not art," or a waste of time, it might just make YOU ignorant.

It really irritates me when people insult a non-fad major that isn't theirs, like art or English. They themselves probably only took what, highschool classes in those subjects? Upper level classes that actually build a major in that topic are a far cry from general-audience stuff (like "Art Appreciation" or English 102) that people just take to fill in the 1-2 credits they need.
