- Take On Me by... someone...
I was doing my history homework on Egypt, and I had to write down the different time periods:
The Old Kingdom
The Middle Kingdom
And The New Kingdom.
See, with the Old Kingdom, everything was all shiny and nice and the pharoahs were powerful and the Nile flooded regularly and people followed the principles of MAAT like good little sheep.
However, after the downfall of the Old Kingdom, Egypt became somewhat corrupt in the Middle Kingdom. The Nile didn't flood regularly, which resulted in fewer crops. The Hyksos invaded.
This was about when I thought, grinning widely, "HAHAHA! EGYPT HAD A HANGOVER!"
Then in the New Kingdom, Egypt regained its former glory to a degree before it suffered its decline and got invaded.
So basically:
1. Egypt partied and drank a lot and had a jolly old time.
2. Egypt got a really, really, REALLY bad hangover. Reality check time.
3. Egypt joined AA! But then... it... um... got... liver problems. Like a relapse, or something.
I actually wrote it down in my notes. Super fun drinking analogy yay!
