Well, I must say that I am getting absolutly FED UP with "Masterpiecists", or people who constantly angst about the Materpiece button and how it proves nothing. Well here are my thoughts:
1.
When people put up "Flash" work of someone saying Naruto a billion times... I think that they are just jealous. Jealous of the people that actually make flashes. They try to 'Prove' that the masterpiece button is messed up... but I think that they really want to get the front page, rather then chastising people who do.
2.
The masterpiece button, it's true, isn't always used on actual MASTERPIECES. But that doesn't mean it's messed up. Recently, it's been used on pieces people LIKE. So, if someone thinks that A Naruto FanFlash is extremely funny, they will most likely masterpiece it. The system isn't flawed, we are.

I agree with you on that one. I masterpiece ones I do think deserve it for the skill, effort, and time put into the piece. Some things people click on are just ridiculous though.

I fully agree with you. It's not always skill that makes a masterpiece. I mean, look at some of the famous masterworks that are hung up in the art galleries. It's most often because people liked it that it's there in the first place. I mean... if a lot of people like a line on a canvas, it'll get popular regardless of skill.
I really don't understand people that don't think this through.. it's rather sad...
Besides.. the button wouldn't be there if public opinion wasn't wanted.. and public opinion doesn't always follow logical suits. Just the preferences of the masses.. which is what it's meant for.
But Yeah. You make perfect sense there. ^^
Sorry about the huge speal.. I'm bored and I get riled up and rant on things like this often.
