Alright- remember in a former post I mentioned my band?

Well, we finally all got together, out drummer now has a drum set ( Arcamfan), both of our bassists are figurin things out, we've got part of a song written and I'm slowly but surely practicing my vocals as well as guitar (our second guitarist is practicing as well).

We're hopin' to be partly functionally come late October/Early November for a party that we MIGHT perform at. If we ARE ready by then I'm damn well recording our shit. Cause, honestly, I really like where we're headed. We havn't defined ourselves and personally, I don't want to. We don't need to be labeled- we just want to create our sound.

Oh- we finally gave up our temp name of Butterfly and have evolved into the working name of 'A Moth To A Flame', AMTAF for short (or AMAF if you prefer), a name supplied by our second bassist.

Anywho I'm really going to try to work hard on my vocals and my guitaring skills. I'm debating taking any sort of vocal lessons because 1: I do need to sing but 2: I like growling a bit, however it murders my throat.

Oh and our Drummer? She's our second Vocalist as well. She has a much higher pitch then me and we hope that, when mingled with my deeper voice, it'll sound nice. Plus it gives her an opportunity to give her spin on songs that she writes. However as of late we've all come together and offered suggestions song wise, I think. Sometimes just being in a group helps.

We're also working on cleanin out our second bassists' garage so we have a steady place to practice after work/school/ect. It's been fun. Time is a bit restricting though, for all of us- but I think we can make it.

Oh and just like we changed out band name, we may be dropping or takin up some new stage names- this, however, is still under debate and to be decided later.

In the mean time, wish us some luck!
