Yes, I'm alive. Wondering what happened?

We were in the middle of a big move, and my dad thought it'd be funny to cut off the internet without warning.

The move goes well, a loose shelf comes close to breaking my thumb. And I get my entire room up and good. So, I'm ready for internet!

Wait, what? Telus hadn't changed the thingus? When do they change it? The 14th? Okay. :3

W00t. After 3 weeks of near-insanity and bored-ness, I'm back online. With over 1500 new updates and a new DA Layout? Neato.

*AHEM* I would like to [finally] announce the winners of my little contest!

The judges are as follows:
Brass [Me]: Judging Coloring, Vibrancy and overall Tone.
Neon: Judging Accurate Summery depiction.
J: Judging overall Artistic Quality.
Anth: Judging Cuteness, Sex appeal, Humor appeal, etc. In other words, overall appeal.

:star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty: Neon: This picture didn't seem ALL that 'summery'. The characters aren't wearing any sort of real 'summer attire', and, although they ARE on a beach, there aren't any beach toys or anything like that. And, although Brass WILL mention this. There is NO sign of the sun in this picture. Definitely not summer

:star::star::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty: Brass: Well, there's some shading there, but it could actually use some more lighting on the characters. And again, no sign of the sun. If the background were darker, it could easily pass off as night.
:star::star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty: Neon: Again, there was a distinct lack of sun in this picture, an automatic .5 off for me. And in this picture, these people are wearing FALL clothing. For this, I took off a full point rather than the usual .5. And also again, no beach items, another point off there
:star::star::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty: J: ...You know, the lines aren't terrible, and the coloring is nice, but it looks a little rolling pinned. Work on necks, please.

:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Brass: Well, it at least LOOKS sunny in the background. I can tell it's day-time. There's not much shading or lighting, though, on the character.
:star::star::star::star-half::star-empty: Neon: WHERE'S THE SUN!? Once more, an automatic .5 off. I like sunshine, people. Makes me think of summer. Now, this time, Tanookie's wearing something I could imagine being worn in the summer, so I didn't take anything off there. BUT... Again, no summer items, like a barbecue, a hammock, SOMETHING.

:star::star::star::star::star: Anth: I have this feeling some fangirl is going to like, tackle "Him" and rape the shit out of him.

:star::star::star::star::star-half: Brass: Alright, finally some shading AND lighting. I like the coloring, very vivid. It could use a bit more lighting considering they're on the beach, though. And again, there's no sun! Or at least no big lighting that indicates such.
:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Neon: Now, once again, there's no sun in this picture, but you people are wearing actual BEACH CLOTHES! Yay! For this, I only took .5 off for no summer items, since technically, swimsuits are part clothes, part summer fun stuff.
:star::star::star::star-half::star-empty: J: You know, I understand breasts are hard to draw, but those caught my eye as a bit lacking. It's very smooth overall though and the coloring is very pleasant. Nice water.
:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Anth: It looks nice, but some parts are a bit awkward ~ One big boob one little boob kinda throws people off.

:star::star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty: Brass: ..ow. MS-Paint colors. Coloring is bad, and there's no shading or lighting at all. Although you DID give it some varying colors, and actually showed the sun, it could use more practice.
:star::star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty: Neon: Well, there IS a sun in this picture, but, there's no summery clothing (come on, BLACK?), so summer items, and the BACKGROUND doesn't even seem summery. It's a pretty good picture, but it doesn't scream "SUMMER!" to me.
:star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty: J: Sorry, friend, I do not like this. Work on your feet and hands, breasts, build...Background could be worse.
:star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty: Anth: It has a nice effort behind it, but the awkward salute kinda throws off most appeal, and theres really not too much humor behind it ~ but good all around

:star::star::star-half::star-empty::star-empty: Brass: Well.. there's SOME coloring. But it's poorly done.. and you tried to color the background with MSpaint color... n.n; Could use some more practice. But ey, you gave it a sun! So that earns ya some points.
:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Neon: There's a sun in this picture too, but again, no summer items in the background. AGAIN. D= For this, I took off a point. That is all.
:star-half::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty::star-empty: J: ...Well it's better than that...other one...Sort of. I'm sorry, but the background is very scribbly, and your human looks far too geometric. Study the body a bit, please.
:star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty: Anth: Theres more of an attempt at humor, though the sex appeal's kinda thrown off, the humor aspect makes up for it. quality could be better.

:star::star::star::star::star-empty: Brass: Alrighty! Vibrant, smooth colors! Fairly shiny water! THE SUN! You earn good points. What kept ya from a perfect score is the lack of shading and lightning on the characters, and fairly half-assed background [which I won't pry on ya too much about. ]. But good job! :3
:star::star::star::star-half::star-empty: Neon: This picture slipped by my "No sun" point deduction, because it seems to be during sunset. BUT... Once more, no summer items. And this time, I don't even see any beach! For all I know, they're walking on water. So I took off a little for that, too
:star::star::star::star-empty::star-empty: J: This one isn't so bad, actually. It's a little weird, but pleasing to look at in the least, In any case the lines are more or less attractive to the artistic eye.
:star::star::star::star::star: Anth: it has a nice humor aspect ( OMFGYAOI :3) skimpily clad male and female, plus it incoperates the genderbenidng of a female character, which is a pluc in my book
