I Feel Free ~ U2
So the Comic Con has once more come to a close. Pretty great year, no drama thankfully. Just a lot of fun. Looking forward to next year.
But! Before that, it's time for me to brag about this year Hoorah! I partially do this to make you jealous of me for actually having more fun that somebody else (for once >_> It's a rare occasion so I like to take advantage of it. It's also partially to convince you to come next year so you can 1. hang out with me and 2. help my city's economy But mostly I just do it to make you jealous....
Anyway, this time instead of journal format, I've decided to organize it into lists. Pretty exciting huh? They're pretty self-explanatory. Much less to read this way. Soooo I guess I hope you enjoy my lists of stuff and have a great day ^^

Movie previews and otherwise exclusive material:
300: based off of Frank Miller's awesome graphic novel of the same title, Snyder (the director) seems to have basically taken the book and filmed it exactly as it is. That's a good thing by the way since Miller's art is fantastic. The trailer he showed (three times by the way ) looked so incredible...we watched it three times Hoorah. It's about Spartans and fighting and all that fun stuff and the whole thing looked absolutely beautiful (in a very violent, gory kind of way).
Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan: Vile, horrible, disgusting 'comedy'. A thousand ews and a loud call of entirely inappropriate, distasteful shite....You may love it
Children of Men: brilliant trailer, looks like an amazing movie. Set in 2027, when women are infertile and the race is dying out, it focuses on one man who gets involved with having to escort the first pregnant woman in 18 years to a safe haven callled the Human Project through a world of violence, war and hate. Starring Clive Owen and Julianne Moore and directed by the great Alfonso Cuaron who did all the scenes in the one shot style (which looks so cool x.x), this is definetely a movie I'm greatly looking forward to.
Grindhouse: I can't really figure this out. If it's supposed to be a bad B movie, and it looks like a bad B movie, does that mean it's a good B movie? Since it's what it's supposed to be? Oh well what ever. It looks like classic Tarantino/Rodriquez cheesy gore fest...and we only saw the Rodriquez part. Tarantino starts filming next week x.X And interesting idea though. To put two movies into one so you're getting more for your money. Beyond all that, you can tell these two guys just love what they do so ya gotta give em extra credit for that.
Pathfinder: apparently there's only about ten lines in the entire film and I think most, if not all, are in Icelandic. Primarily a visual piece obviously, it looks amazing of course, though the story, from what I saw, is hard to determine. Marks the return of Karl Urban and Clancy Brown, both good actors. Who knows, might be interesting.
The Reaping: a film that deals with some biblical old testament kind of stuff. Plagues. Scary little girls. It's set in Louisiana and stars Hilary Swank and Anna Sophia Robb. It's basically a horror movie (aka not my thing) but for a horror movie, it sounds like it has an interesting story (for once) Apparently there's a large twist that greatly sets it apart as well. I wouldn't see it. But I wouldn't discourage someone else from seeing it
Simpsons: The Movie: I don't really like the Simpsons. And the animation they showed was just story boards with voices. But it was kinda funny. If you like the show, you should look forward to this.
Stardust: based off of Neil Gaiman's masterpiece series of comic like (though they're not really o.0) books, the movie looks absolutely incredible. Very Narnia like in its look, it follows the great story of a young man who goes out of his secluded town of Wall (over the wall) into a strange fantasy world to retrieve a fallen star, played by Claire Danes. Also having to deal with a witch who also wants the star for her own youth and beauty. A fantastic fairy tale to begin with, the film looks to recapture the fantasy as it is meant to be and personally, I am greatly looking forward to its release next march :3
Superman Returns: Obviously this movie is already out But considering the DVD release! Singer's got a hilarious blooper reel that he promises to put in the extras as well as some very interesting scenes that were edited out in the end. However there's one cut scene of a return to Krypton that cost 10 million dollars to make that he says won't appear on the DVD but he may want to use elsewhere, hinting, along with other remarks, of a continuation if the deal goes through.
The Wickerman: Remake of the old Christopher Lee 'horror' movie (whether it deserves that title or not) with Nicholas Cage and Ellen Burstyn. Contrary to the old film, in the new one, the director has gone and made the patriarchy into a matriarchy. The clip he showed was of the beginning of the film and it looked like it has a lot of potential with the writing, and shooting of the piece
X-Men III: The DVD will be released with 21 deleted scenes and 3 alternate endings (thank god)
