for those who don't know, Haado Gei is the japanese pronuncation of 'Hard Gay'. the romanji writting can also be translated as 'hardcore gay' or "hardcore actor/celeb" because gei is pronunced like the english word "gay". it is actually short for geinin or 'actor/celeb', roughly speaking.

Haado Gei, or HG, is played by Masaki Sumitani, a japanese comedian and former wrestler. his HG persona is to be like a hero, "superman" of sorts, while dressed like a guy from the Village People and dancing to "La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin. he is famous in japan for his "HG pelvic thrusts" and "HG catch phrase: FUUUU! (sounds like hoooo!, or an owl)"

he is harmless but his humor is taken both ways. some find him disgusting and insulting to personal sexual orientation, others find him a symbol of being out in the open, or not scary at all.
