Is using official artworks of games or animes in signatures, banners, avatars, wallpapers etc. copyright infringement, even if you say you didn't make it and give credit to the company and receive no money for the said things. I don't know. this issue has been bothering me for awhile which is why i decide i'm only going to manipulate my own artwork but serious is it copyright infringement? have we all been doing something terribly wrong?

I'd use your own art, though I think if you say the names of the creators and make no moeny off it it's alright. I know for using people's artwork you should always ask them. I personally think using ones own work is always the better choice though. Looks better to me.

But then again I use official pictures for my Live Journal's icons so... But that's personal.
