So at last Khronos has gotten her act together and is holding a real contest. Gasp shock horror. So here's how it goes. I'm going to give you all a series of words. Nice artsy fartsy words. You may not know what they mean so you might wanna look em up if you don't. Dictionaries are quiet handy. Now what you do is pick your favorite word out of them and draw it. Pretty simple, eh? This is extremely broad. You don't have to like make a scene out of it or some weird abstract thing. But you could. You can pretty much do anything. You could even just draw out the word if you wanted....though you wouldn't get many points for it o.o You just draw what ever you think of when you see/hear the word. It doesn't even have to follow the definition if you don't want. So here's an example:
The word is 'Relative'
Some ideas:
-a visual depiction of 'relativity'
-two objects in relation to one another
-a pride of lions (they're 'relatives')
-you visiting your annoying Aunt Gertrude
-some abstract thing that makes you think of 'relative'
See it's really entirely up to you. Anything you want. And no, it doesn't have to be artsy fartsy like the title implies It could be really simple, really complex, funny, serious, anything. I'm not kidding. o.o So what am I judging it by? Well since I'm a nerd and loves rubrics, you get one Here are the categories and how much each is worth:
Effort/Time Spent - 10 pts
Visual Appeal - 8 pts
Relation to Word - 2 pts
Effectiveness - 10 pts
Creativity/Originality-20 pts
So it's out of 40. The people with the highest scores will be the ones that place in the end. However, there's also some extra credit available :3
Correct Definition - 5 pts
Use of My Characters - 5 pts
So really the total possible score is 50. The definition part is pretty self-explanatory. And the other is because I'm not going to force you to use my characters You can use your own or whosever (with permission of course o.0) or none at all depending on what your doing. I think that's about it. The contest runs until August 1. That gives you 5 months to do it so I'm expecting at least 3 entries o.o Please don't disappoint me x.x; The prizes will be as follows:
1st place: full blown character+background Photoshop request
2nd place: character + not really background Photoshop or oekaki request
3rd place: character+ not really background oekaki request
And everyone else who enters gets my love forever :3
