my life isnt going so well right now. my college isnt so welcoming s i thought it would be. firstly my new friends liked me one day, and the next day she hated my guts (i dont know why, i didnt do anything to her) and now shes treating me like dirt and looking at me like im a pile of shit...
the teachers keep telling me that EVERYTHING im doing is wrong. none in my class really likes me and i have none to talk to anything about. i dont want my mum to be disapointed in me, ive been a crybaby all my life, ad being upset here labels you as a freak.
i miss DA, and im banned for 2 more days, at least there i dont get excessive flaming from tengu

who wont fucking stop insulting my art and myself. i keep getting called a pedophile for the naga baby picture ;_; urgh, it feels like the owrld hates me... what is it about humans that makes them so delighted to hurt another persons feelings? i feel like i dont belong. i wish id never gotten 1,000,000 page views, i just get shit about not deserving it and how i dont accept "constructive ciritism" which is actually comments like "oh snapesnogger, what will the world do without your BLAND chibi artwork"...im just a crap artist and a crap person...i just...dont want to draw anymore. there tengu, YOU FUCKING WON!!!!
tengu Says:
Uh
That wasn't even my comment
WHY BLAME EVERYTHING ON A BIRDIE?
tengu Says:
P.S. I do not want you to stop drawing you crazy kid
And you have so so many people who love you on the internet, why believe a few ornery characters like me and the people who actually said the things you're complaining about instead of them?
Kay Lupus Says:
Hey, hey, I love you! Your artwork is not bland, it's not plain. It's beautiful, and you have unbelievable talent I wish I had. Tengu's just a jackass, the bastard/bitch, who's probably more jealous of your work than I am. Try not to let the guy get to you. You should report tengu, seriously.
When you see those who disapprove of your work, hold your head high and ignore them. Your work is beautiful, it's wonderful enough to get top favorites on DA, which is very hard to do. Keep working at it, and one day, you'll prove them wrong. You'll be able to even more proudly hold up your artwork and shove it in their face. "Damn right bastards, I made it, and you didn't. BITCH."
It's horrible college is like that for you, but ignore them; you're taking this college to help you.
You can talk to me, snapesnogger; even though we're not very close, I'm here to listen. To help in whatever way I can, no matter how far you are from here. Everybody needs a person to rant to, so if you find absolutely no one to talk to, use me as a last resort, okay?
I love you, and your work. I've been a great fan of yours since I started DA in 2003. When I discovered your work, it brought joy for me to look at it and read the funny comics you make every now and then.
These are only a few people's opinions. Stand up for yourself! When they say "This is all wrong! It's crap!" just say back to them: "Listen shithead, I've had enough! I can accept criticism, but not trash! Now tell me - what the fuck is really wrong with this picture?! BE SPECIFIC!" You deserve respect. You are human. And remember, so are they. You can hurt their feelings just as easily as they can hurt yours. A horrible thing to say, but it's true.
I let my teacher push away my love of singing and acting. It's too late for me to try for broadway again. Don't let others push away your love for drawing; don't let them push away your remarkable gift. I love you, and I believe in you!

We all know that tengu are creatures that love to start up mess!! You're making lil' tengu lady happy with this. But nevertheless, I am enjoying this too, it's fun to watch an artist who's so emo and so unsure of her own skill to stop drawing just because someone she doesn't know told her so.

Keistera Says:
I wouldn't take them so seriously. Those that dislike a certain style will, naturally, flock to an artist that uses it and razz him or her mercilessly. The more you react, the happier they are.
If you are having so many emotional problems, well, perhaps you should see a professional. I realize it is not my place to say so and could be taken the wrong way, but, still... consider it, if you haven't already.
It is your teachers' job to push you; that is what many of them do. The majority of the time, you are expected to follow up and talk to them. Ask your Professors what is wrong, what you can do to improve, and seek constructive critisism. I was like you once, and to a degree still am, but have learned from my Professors, no less, that taking everything personally in regard to my work is a big mistake. More often than not, they will help you out. If nothing else, try different subject matter and see what happens. Don't give up. If some folk on this site are getting overly abusive, you have to report them.
If you're going to get anywhere in life, I'm sorry, but you do need to work on your self esteem and confidence ... this is speaking from experience, of course. O.o We are all works in progress. (Ew).
Good luck.
Tershie Says:
Don't listen to any of these people. The ones at school, this Tengu person, just don't listen to them. Draw what you want to draw, and draw it how you want. There are hundreds of people here, on DA, and on Y! who looove you're art and everything about it (me being one of them). So pleeeaaase stop being sad. I hate when my fave artists are sad and think their art is crap when it's not, =( So Hakuna Matata.
Keffy Says:
The best remedy for everything is to draw something completely different. Then everybody else looks stupid and you get to try something new.
MAKE ME LOOK STUPID. COME ON. (I mean more than I do on my own).
loony Says:
Why would someone say that you don't deserve all of those visits?? I think you're a great artist! I can't believe someone would say that about someone who is as talented as you. They're just jealous.
mamasboy Says:
it would be pretty awesome if you were to draw something different and new that would really put all us naysayers in our place.
it's okay to try new stuff that you're not so good at. that way you learn and you get to grow as an artist.
