(Michiru Oshima) Full Metal Alchemist - Beaming Sunlight
"Your one trait that proved you?" A pair of eerie blood and ocean eyes peered at the draconic lad from behind a set of thin gold frames, a few silken bits of deep, tuscan red hanging over a pale face.

The princely fellow of interest shifted where he was seated, his hand, formerly propping his jaw up, drawing away and out, where it extended towards his scholarly companion. "When I was a child, I lost my arm to Sacred Hell's gate. Because I failed to heed my elders, I put my hand into the gate; as such, it became lodged, and no amount of pulling could extract it. Upon arriving at this realization, it was decided that my forearm be removed.

"For days I was left one-handed, while the healers and alchemists worked to generate a new one, then graft it onto the rest of my arm. The structure of the pieces is still mismatched, and the point at which they were bonded is still weaker than the rest of my arm; as a result, I was always reminded of the hunger Sacred Hell had for my chaotic blood, and I have kept far from that chamber ever since."

A moment of silence passed between 'human' and Ryuakurei, before the scholar, Methaeus, rose from his slight lean. "I see. You are fortunate, then," he began, reaching up to adjust his glasses. "I've been told my body is like a walking embodiment of chaos; were I to do the same, Arimos' realms would surely kill me."

The Ryuakurei, Iaeruki, offered a faint blink, perhaps muddled by this response. "What does that make you, then?"

"Me?" Calmly shutting his eyes, Methaeus couldn't help but grin at Iaeruki's expression, drawing his fingers away from his glasses. "A creature you would just as soon annihilate if I were anyone else."
