Before I go on, I have to say that I won't be moving away from Sheezyart and into Devart. I already am working on a DA account though.
I've (in general) supported SheezyArt, through downtime and crunchtime. I've even bitterly accepted the new Sheezy as far superior to the old one (it's not.) But honestly now, for being so like DA, Sheezy should really take a page out of their book instead of claiming originality. They've copied DA this far, why not actually use the things that have made them so popular?
What I mean is... favorites. All that is faved on this god-damn page is fan-art, the odd writing sample, and more fan-art. Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. Now why don't we actually
try to find people that actually deserve it? I've found tons of beautiful art pieces that I've enjoyed, but this place is overrun by tons and tons of fan-art that isn't even all that good. It's worthless. And all artists on here should understand that if they're planning on going into the art world in college (I'm not) that they can't get through drawing other people's copyrighted things. And people on both Sheezy and DA have found their claim to fame with exclusively fan-art. I know that everyone here can do better than that. Why not at least try doodling an original character for once? Yes, I know it might not garner as much faves and comments as your Sonic the Hedgehog super shadow bullshit. But please.... don't crap up Sheezy for the rest of us who have enough brainpower to think up our own original ideas.
And now that I've thought of it, I'd rather be at DA. There's just not enough drama here.

Well, you know, some People don't like posting their original characters online, especially on places like Deviantart (I dunno about Sheezy because I'm still kinda new here). Putting up original characters that you love and plan to do something wiht on the internet could easily get them stolen. You don't have to worry about someone stealing your fanart because you never owned the characters in the 1st place. That's my reason for not posting a lot of _my_ original characters. I would DIE</I> if someone had stolen my Stardust. That was why I removed all art of him from DA and the internet.
And a lot of people most certainly don't want to post their original characters/stories/art on deviantart because of it's ToS. People are claiming DA has secret rights to use your art/characters for whatever purpose they want and sell the rights to use them to other people and you can't do anything about it.
