So you're the artist of GeeKz and Rage, right?
Yeah, but I'm also the writer of GeeKz as well.
Ah, I see. And Rage..?
Just the artist. I don't think there are going to be many updates coming. Coming soon at least. THe communication between Brandon and me seems to have stopped
That's too bad. And GeeKz..?
Oh, GeeKz is still goin' strong. The story is getting to one of the parts I've been wanting to do since I came up with the whole outline of it. In fact, there is a second version of "GeeKz: Volume One" in production right now.
That's good to hear. Are you still in school and all that?
Yeah. Got about five months until my associate's degree. yep.
Oh. Anyways, with GeeKz: Right now you are getting into the some of the backstory between Kevin and Mike, correct?
Well, .....yeah? Those two are the originals so I felt it was about time make them more three-dimensional. All the characters are eventually going to go through that.
I see. So does that give you more freedom to explain Kevin and Mike's personalities or just more of an oppertunity to make more "techie" stuff happen?
Well, all characters need to have an underlying implication to why they do certain things a certain way, and more techie stuff is going to happen soon, but giving the characters a feeling that they aren't just drawings but individuals with feelings and what not is important for a story to be effectivce to it's audience and proving it's point.
Ok, well then let's go into personalities for a bit. You obviously based Mike off of yourself. Are the problems he has preblems that you have? Or is he just a completely different person who shares your way of thinking and doing things?
Well, Mike is pretty much exactly like me with a slightly different backstory. We're a kin in that we're both searching and striving for something but at the same time we don't really understand what that something is. We're not the same in that the things that happened to me are not as dramatic as what you will discover has happened to him in the near future.
And Kevin then?
Kevin is pretty much a hyper-active amalgamation of all the friends I had in my highschool computer class. We had a lot of interesting personalities come together in that room.
And will Kevin's history be coming too?
Well, you learn part of Mike's history through Kevin's words, so yes and no. You see how they both were before they met and what they were doing. I'd say you won't know all there is to know about Kevin until much later.
Gotcha. What about Ayame and Midori?
Well, as sisters I'm just making up how they interact as I go along. I've never really had a relationship with a sibling that was at all friendly, so I don't have much to draw on in that area.
Ok, well tell me a little more about Ayame then.
Ayame's not one of those people who will be the life of the party, but she's not overly timid either. She doesn't exactly like living back in the Inn but she does like being with her family again. As fo0r her backstory, you'll see.
And Midori?
Midori is strong willed and can be quite abrasive at times but is really a very kind person at heart. She takes after her mother in opinion and action but she is more plyable in those opinions. In essense, Midori is the tomboy neighbor we all had growing up that is trying her hardest to make a friend but can be confusing because of her tendency to ...oh ...I dunno... THROW THINGS.
Haha, I see. You introduced a lot fo characters relatively close to eachother. Was that on purpose?
Well, yes and no. You have a drastic change of setting so you're naturally going to get a new set of variables, but I don't wanna just dump four or five people in there at once. It's natural that you meet Ayame's grandfather and mother at the get go, but you don't learn about Den or Manami until around now.
Tell me about the older people
Well, Ojii-san is a senile old man with delusions of grandure which he acts upon. Okaa-san is just trying to do what she thinks is right for her daughters even though those opinions are drastically biased.
And Den?
Yamanaka Den is the member of their little group that would be most likely be seen in a pachinko parlor rather than his classes. He mugs people when he needs money and is mostly less than honest. Despite all of this, others see him as cool.
Gotcha. Ok, you mentioned Manami and she has only been in one frame so far, so spill it.
Well, she is what could be considered a highschool senior. She actually works at Ryokan no Hatten but has a room because she has a weak constitution and frequently has to spend the night because she is just not feeling well.
Well, with the character introductions the way they are, and since ther setting is now an Inn, are there any more people coming into the scenerio you'd like to tell me about?
Not at the moment.
Wait, that has multiple meanings..
Eh, I know. I'm just saying that with the characters still relatively "fresh" I'd like to let the readers see a bit of personl interaction before anything else happens.
But you still haven't cleared up the confusion!
Actually, ...I believe that was my earlier journal...

how long do you think the story will be? i mean, do you have any idea? to me it sounds (by this interview) and it's unfolding like a long story.
