First off, I have more shit in Real Life to deal with than I care to moan on and on about on here, so like... 90% of the shit I want to do and should be doing online is pushed back right now anyway. Learning PHP and SQL are coming along nicely... just even slower now than before. Mrr.

Anywho...

Good news is Otakon '05 was my first one and after that, now next year I am supposed to be able (read: "allowed") to get a hotel there! God, I hated driving from York to Baltimore every day. ; Ugh. Road Destruction on I-83 Sunday... What fun. x_X; Sat in traffic on the way home for like an hour and a half. X_______x; I'd have been more pissed if I had been delayed going DOWN.

I just hated having to "leave Baltimore before it was dark"... Mom and Mike's orders. -.-; Meant missing all the stuff that happened after like... 5/6 PM. T___T; Bah.

Still... the hours spent there and the people met were worth it. And now I know better what I'm doing.

I posted one of my favorite photos from Otakon here. (and DA... so that my journal entry there wasn't just random stuff...)

However......... I'm not currently in a good mood since I've recently found out that my mother's firm belief that waiting until January or maybe effin April will be fine and a Hotel in Baltimore NEAR THE CONVENTION CENTER will still be available. -_____________-; No. Mom. Nearly all the damn Otakon Hotels are effin' BOOKED. By Chistmas you'll be lucky to find one within a 30 minute DRIVE to the Convention Center. >_______________<

Right now, I'm willing to take a NON-Otakon Hotel if it's close enough! Y'know?! x___X;;;

Bah.

Next year, however, we have a better vest (currently on Layaway at Wal-Mart ) for (heretofore referred to as just "Ki" or "Ki-chan". ^.^) to be Netto (it has a non-"Hikari Brand" zipper! *inside joke from a failed costume addition*) and I found a better black shirt I'll be altering, and I bought new shoes! ^.^ They're actually the slip-on fully black shoes, VERY close to what Enzan actually wears! (I wore Ki-chan's sneakers for this year's costume. ) And I walked around the York Fair with them last month. So I tested them for "lots of walking". Result? They're VERY comfy for walking long periods of time! My feet were fine. It was my legs that killed me from moving them so long. ; Wee!!! New clothes bought already for Otakon '06. Yay Wal-Mart Fall Sales. ;; I also have a back-up plan in case finding a wig that will work for Enzan next year fails. I bought black and white hair coloring from the Halloween Aisle at Wal-Mart. ; *gigglesnort*

I may even kill the ears for a day next year... depends on how I have to do the wig/hair.... but either way, I really wanna redo the wig for Enzan... This one was made from fur, shaped to look like his hair. Trouble is I have long hair and when I put it up into a bun, Enzan wound up having a giant lump on his head.

Then Ki trimmed it for Day 3 and there was no hope of keeping the bun on my head hidden. Ahe. You can see it in the one pic that reveals the secret Enzan hides under his red vest.... >_>;

I also wanna see if I can redo the pants so they're designed more like the anime pants instead of the typical "Camo Pants" everyone wears. >_>; I wanted to do that this year, but I'm just repeating that I'm a Procrastinator.

Hell, I wanted to alter the dress I'd made for LAST Halloween and go as Princess Zelda on one of the three days, but I never got to it and I can't figure out how to finish it. (The armor bothers me. It's carboard. While the painting is semi-decent on it, I'd rather have something more 3D that's not overtly heavy... >_>; Y'know? ^.^; )

I actually have thought about making Sunday like... "CF Op"/"R Navi" Day or something. Just that my ideas are kinda twisted and perhaps a little cheap. I could seriously cop out completely and just go as "Blues in the Real World" on Sunday. By then God knows my hair'll be long enough to just color it pure white. ^.^; And I say "Cop Out" because it'd be an outfit I think Blues'd wear while in the real world and long hair colored pure white. ^___^; Ahe... Well Ki-chan said she wanted to go as Saito in the real world. ; Same thing. Just a wig with a normal outfit.

I also have to ask why it seems everyone wanted to Noogie Neko-Enzan. ; <_<;; >_>;; ; Seriously. I have two pictures of that. Both Blues. Original Blues and Blues.EXE. Both noogied me/Neko-Enzan. I was also 'hunted' in Artist Alley by a Furry Hunter. ~! Oh noez! Netto saved me though. >_> ; Kinda.

I should post a scan of the sign that led us to "Yuuichirou" who then led us to my Navi, Blues. It has a Nezu-Blues on it eating cheese. Somehow that led us to Tabby. It was a fun day. ; I drew that sign after Ki and I ate lunch at the fountain outside of OtaCafe. I had to sit on my tail so it didn't get wet.

I feel bad that we only got to see Jyo-chan for like... 2 minutes. D: She poofed immediately after she snapped Ki and my pic then I hugged her, went "BOOOOOOONE STAAWWWWWKAAAAAH" and she ran off. >_>; I know she found it amusing, but the look on her face and how she ran off made me think I actually scared her.

Yes, another costume idea was to try and go as Skullman.EXE one day just so I could walk around all day saying that without getting looked at weird. But my voice'd kill me by the end of the day, so if I DID manage that costume, it'd have to be Sunday so it's shortest and I have the best chance of keeping my voice.

Ki says I should stop doing it because I sound way too much like Skully when I do it. ^.^;;; *snicker*

Anywho. ^.^;

I should really get to making the Otakon '05 pages on my site, but right now, I'mma keep the folders with the photos in them as is... until things settle down here at home... and in my life.

Note: Tabby-san, the links I mailed you still worked and I didn't wanna bog down your inbox with insane amounts of images attached to one e-mail. I'd have been killed. ; I know I don't like e-mails that are like.... 256 MB or more cause of attachments.... x_X

I also updated the "Sweet Aftermath" image info in my gallery, but I shall tell you all here as well. Tabby got the original colored pencil art at Otakon. ^.^ And I got a piece of art from her. Ki's still jealous. Says I grabbed it from her. I just got to it first. ; I Tabby-san's art. ^.^

I'd also like to formally apologize to Tabby-san for stalking your Blues Ass while you were leaving Otakon. But you were wearing the costume for it. If it made you think Ki and I were nutjobs.....well... we are... but not in a bad way. ^.^;;; Please don't take that the wrong way. We hope to see you all again next year without the Disappearing Acts of this year. ^.^; Just that....well we saw you walking up to your hotel on Friday as we were in traffic to leave Baltimore and by the time we got the cameras out to prove we saw you just in case we didn't see you Sat or Sun.... you had poofed.

.....Ok, I'm a Tabby Stalker. But! I'm not the Psychopathic kind that needs to be issued a Restraining Order. >_>; The term you used in your journal works perfectly for me I suppose. "FanGirl" so long as "Rabid" is in front of that.

Next year, I'm hoping to have a piece of art made specifically FOR you instead of something random from my portfolio. ^.^; Just not sure if I'll be using Mom's color printer and print a CGed image or try my hand at colored pencils again before then. *mew~*

Ok, I'm definitely rambling now. Must go. Take a nap or something. ^.^; All that, however, has made me feel a little better. I needed to just talk somewhere. Thanks for reading, everyone! ja ne~!
