First, before I recount my day:
MY TUOTORS HAVE LOST MY WHAT YOU WISH FOR PROJECT
I am not best pleased to say the least. It's already marked, so I have a grade - but that's besides the point. This is a very bad thing, for two reasons.
1: The external Examiners are coming in tomorrow to look at everything - and I don't HAVE everything, so they won't get the whole view of my work.
2: I wanted to show these finished pages to Tony once I got them back.
I am pissed off.
---
Early start to the day again. I put all the colour Holes images onto disc before I left and walked up to the SAD. That's a long walk, by the way, but I survived it and actually popped into ASDA on the way past.
Once in, I sorted out my little space, putting the white cloth on and arranging things so it looked nice - I got my postcards today, so those are all nicely laid out as well, for anyone to grab a few if they want - it took a while, because I was half asleep.
I then realised I'd forgotten the foil-fax/folder thing so texted Matt to bring it up.
I got out the cd, sat at the printer and discovered I'd somehow managed to burn off entirely the wrong images - even though Matt confirmed that I hadn't. So I couldn't print those out. I texted Matt again and he said he'd burn them off again and bring that cd with him when he brought the folder.
After some more faffing around, I decided to go get a mug of coffee and a sandwhich from the coffee lady on the ground floor. Somehow - I know not how - I managed to drop the boiling hot coffee and got it down my right thigh and all over my right wrist. So, I not only had coffee on me, I had a fucking painful wrist.
(I asked the coffee lady who I should tell about the mess so it could get cleaned up before anyone tripped on it and a tutor turned round with the words 'a considerate student!' rather sarcastically - which managed to piss me off even more, the patronising arsehole)
I told the caretakers and then went to clean up - running my wrist under the cold taps for ages. The coffee lady gave me a free extra mug of coffee though, which was nice.
Matt and AJ brought my things up for me and I went and stood outside with them for a bit (Andrew never wants to do that walk again, bless him) before taking everything upstairs again. I set up the filo-folder-thing and then chased after the printer - which was occupied.
And then the technician was out for lunch. The printer was occupied again, then I couldn't get the computer to recognise the disc, then just as I got to the printer again it was nicked from under my nose.
I ended up doing a lot of waiting around and being pissed off. To top it all off, my bra's underwire snapped on my left boob and started stabbing me in the ribs - I ended up having to take it out in the girls loo and putting up with one droopy boob for the rest of the day.
I finnally got the printer and spent half an hour or so printing out six A4 colours Holes illustrations. I then set those in the filo-folder-thing and finaly got the chance to go home!
(After a lengthy chat with my course leader about the missing work - I'm going to pop back in again tomorrow to spend a THIRD day searching for it - though there is a suspect for who move and lost it - they think it may have been Ed, he was marking in the office and shouldn't have been, so he was told to move, picked all the work up and took it with him to wherever he went, they think he may have mistakenly taken mine with him)
It was a long slow walk back, because by then I was knackered and had spent five hours arranging, printing, stressing and carrying tables (again.)
I got in, flopped and fell asleep for an hour or so. Woke up, had dinner and then realised I had an image stuck in my head that I HAD to get on paper.
I spent the next six hours working on this image.
It's turned out to be an A3 oil pastel image of a little white figure sitting down hugging a heart in the bottom right hand corner, with a gorgeous sunrise behind it. I named it 'Sometimes Love' and want to get it framed.
Now I'm COMPLETELY knackered and want to go to bed.
Ayame Says:
GAWD! That exhausts me! I'm so sorry you had to go through even more bullshat! You've offically earned a week a spa!
