Iago from Shakespeare's Othello.
This was done for my Literature class. The assignment was to make a metaphorical portrait, so I incorporated the snake-eyes, mask, and spider emblem into the picture to represent various qualities of Iago's character. Fun stuff.

approx. 20 x 25 inches

Iago is so very evil. I read Othello 2 years ago,I believe. I read for Iago for the first act, I believe. Put money in thy purse.

I LOVE the criss-crossy method of shading/highlighting.

Judging by the face, I believe that's actor Kenneth Branagh, who is also one of my top five favorite living actors.
