~Prologue~


Katara sighed to herself as she sat alone in her new apartment, Toph had already left to meet up with her mother and Appa had flown of several hours before with Sokka and Aang. She could feel pangs of jealousy ripping at her heart as she sat in silence. She got stuck behind; again she was put at the disadvantage. Again she sacrificed her happiness for the good of the gang.

She rose without a word and headed into the city, which was still quite loud even though it was well into the evening. Two other things were weighing heavily on her mind at the moment, the condition of Jet and why Suki hadn%u2019t even tried to talk to her yet. She knew she wasn%u2019t the girl%u2019s best friend or anything, but she was Sokka%u2019s sister.

%u201CMiss, why the long face? A pretty little thing such as yourself should be smiling!%u201D She smiled at the street vender, a façade but at least it worked. %u201CAh see! That%u2019s better! So you%u2019re of the water tribes eh? Welcome! Would you like to know some of the good shops here in Ba Sing se?%u201D She nodded with mock enthusiasm, %u201CWell what are you looking for at the moment?%u201D He asked, she didn%u2019t take long to respond. %u201CMaybe somewhere to calm my nerves%u2026%u201D She said in a low voice, he beamed. %u201CWell I know just the place! It%u2019s new but it%u2019s already one of the most popular teahouses in the whole city, it%u2019s called the Jasmine Dragon! They also have some food items there, but they%u2019re not full course meals or anything%u2026%u201D

She nodded in thanks and followed his directions to a rather busy looking building. She took note that there was a bath house not far down the street, %u201CHmmm I will have to take advantage of that once I am done%u2026%u201D She thought to herself, as she entered the tea shop.

Zuko%u2019s eyes widened as he noted the identity of his newest costumer, %u2018Shit%u2026It%u2019s the water tribe girl%u2026%u2019 He thought to himself turning his back to her, he was about to turn and try to get her order without starting anything when Jin patted him on the back lightly. %u201CI%u2019ve got this one Lee!%u201D She said with a coy smile, he nodded quickly but in his head he thanked Agni that his uncle had thought to hire the young woman.

And that his uncle had thought to help him cover up his scar recently, for those who didn%u2019t know him it looked as though his left eye was just deformed. The eyebrow on that side was drawn on so it%u2019s movement was often slightly off compared to its real counterpart. And knowing the little water bender, she would figure him out at once. But his relief was quickly revoked as Jin waved to him from the table, %u201CLee come sit with us!!%u201D She cried happily, his expression was that of a dumbfounded animal as he approached the table%u2026
