Born and raised in China, although his family dates back to ancient Japanese dynasties.

Jin-Sen Yusheng (nickname Yin Hu - "silver fox, for the color of his blood") was a normal 15 year old boy, until the day of his 16th birthday. On that day, his mother, father and brother disappeared unexpectedly. Jin was then left orphaned, and had to fend for himself, until the god Inari sent him visions through dreams about a Temple he must visit. He had no idea where it was, but strange feelings inside of him lead him to the Temple in which Inari greeted him. This was the turning point in Jin's life. Seeing as he was a selfish, cold hearted teen before the incident, Inari left him enthralled and a much more humble person, realizing he now had the world in the palm of his hand.

Jin is the messenger to god inari (making Jin the shape shifting "kitsune" fox from the Shinto religion), who receives daily letters from other gods depicting their requests and normal daily tasks (e.g. amaterasu - sun goddess - gives messages to god inari to carry out the task of moving the sun across the sky, or setting it at a certain time ECT). Though, the Hyakki Yako (means "One hundred monsters' parade.") tries to interfere with the messages sent by Inari, which could fracture the Life Chain and send the world into oblivion and disorder. the Hyakki Yako send Iro-Yakoi ("color - ghost(s)".) after Jin, determined on intercepting his missions. the ghosts are colored depending on which division of the Hyakki Yako they originated from. The Haiiro-Yakoi come from the Haiiro(gray) division, which is the less tactical part of the Hyakki Yako. The Aka-Yakoi are the toughest ghosts in the Hyakki Yako, deriving from the Aka(red) zone, so on and so forth.

To stop the Hyakki Yako from attacking Jin, Inari gave Jin an enchanted locket, allowing him to change from a human to a demon, which also allows him to see and converse with the Yakoi. Without this pendant, Jin cannot see the Yakoi, therefore not being able to defeat them and carry out his mission.

So, the question is - can Jin handle the stress of the world on his shoulders? Or will he become so weak and brittle that the Hyakki Yako stop him from his quests and eventually end life?
