Wow, I would certainly believe that took three months!!! I love the way the sand blows off of the dune.

This figure really evokes John the Baptist for a Christian viewer, even though this is in a fantasy. For some reason the desolation of the buried temple helps with that impression, that sense that some major shift in belief is coming and that perhaps this figure has something to do with it.

I also notice that for the first time we see what appear to be the masters of this world. I say that because those insectoid creatures seem to be more finely dressed than the human. I wish I could see the other two in the back in more detail!

So, are you writing a book about these people by any chance? There really seems to be a story!

what is a 47 year old french oil painter doing on sheezyart.... but anyway it's a fascinating piece. the sand on the enormous pillars is great. it's all excellent except the woman closest to us has no cast shadow
