It's hard to believe that this female Ground Squirrel was once a piece of plastic and circuitry on Sally Acorn's boot.

Nicole was once, in a freak accident, transferred to Sally's body, and enjoyed the freedom - and the emotion - of being an organic being. As a reward for her years of service, she had an organic body created for herself, and was transferred to a computer control unit attached to her new body's brain. A wireless communication device allowed her control unit to communicate with computers using the gauntlet that's now on her wrist.

However, a corruption in her programming...and the subsequent recovery (I'm still writing the story about it, and some of my watchers are readers, so no further details) meant that she had to completely transfer herself into her biological brain. While she is now completely organic, she can no longer directly communicate with computers. She has written two programs, essentially A.I.s, like she had once been, one "male," named "Nicholas," and given as a gift to Sally, and one "female," named "Nikki" who "lives" in the gauntlet Nicole wears on her wrist when she needs to have her available.

Nicole is rather inept in social situations. Having once been a computer, she has a need to be useful. This has created some awkward situations in the past. She's had a steep learning curve, and she's a bit better as a fully organic being than a computer controlling an organic being. I decided to give her an unsure, curious expression and pose, perfect for her nature.

I liked the idea of using athletic wear for Nicole. It's functional, comfortable, and probably something Sally had in her closet that she never wore. And she looks good in bicycle shorts. ^^ Her coloring took TWO tries to get right. I think I finally nailed it.
