HOLY SHIT!! Kai-chan's alive!!
...*cough* Yeah. So I haven't been around for awhile, but that's a story to be told at another time.
I was given a rough frame from one of my writer/artist friends a couple of months ago, to see if I could do something with it while in my art slump. I took it, and I worked with it the next morning. By four the following evening, I'd come up with this. This is Mavros, the human father of a hybrid character of mine. Any of you who are familiar with Nokuru somewhat--this is his dad.
The particular... scene, image, situation, etc. depicted in it is one that's going to take place in his late forties, when he finally returns to the very village that had thrust him out years ago, before his son ever got a chance to learn his name. This is where he finds the resting place of Nokuru's mother, his wife, who he never knew had died until nine years after she'd been beaten to death. Eighteen years passed since her death, and only then does he force his way through to find her, and visit her for the first time since he left.
