Here we have StarFire from the Teen Titans, or more precisely my own version of her. As you can see i did both the TV outfit and the Comic Outfit (with my own color scheme), the thing is, that i liked the TV series haircut, but i feel that a "Firey" hair like the comic version suited her, so i tried to do a "animeish" Blazing or firey haircut, which ended becoming quite similar to Peach's Haircut....

What makes this pic special is the fact that i used an interesting idea i had for "Recycling poses". It was inspired by the "Paper Dolls" so i don't think that this trick is new or "That innovative" but is quite useful if you want to create the wardrobe of your character and you aren't in the mood of drawing other poses or you want to use the same pose without re-drawing it.

If anyone is interested here is the trick:

1) Draw the body of the character it will be naked, but you don't need to give it the details of that, the only details you'll need would be the face, hair, hands and mabe some muscles.

2) When you finished your sketch, retrace with with your pencil and scan it (don't ink it, this trick works better if you then retrace and create the lineart for the cg with illustrator or a similar work)

3) Open your scanned pic with photoshop and make the lines to be lighter and print it (printing the sketch with dark lines will be a problem for the next step) you must print as many as you need and i would recommend to "save as" this "light" version just in case if you want to create another outfit another day....

4) Let the printed sketch to dry and when you're sure that it's completely dry start drawing over it.

5) When you're done with drawing the outfit over it retrace the sketch so it will be darker and scan it.

6) Done! Now you just need to grab the original body sketch and trace it on illustrator and then (on other layers) you do the same with the outfits, and when you finish them compare it with the Body lineart and see if you missed a detail, need to modify something or just add an extra that you missed on the hand drawing.

It really is quite useful if you ask me....though, i really recommend to not use it for "re-using a body and only change the head" it just annoying and disgusting to see "Rough the Bat" with Mai Shiranui Body which was drawn on a previous pic >_>......it isn't that hard to draw a basic body and doing the outfits becomes easier with this...
