This is one of the later versions (not the final) of a logo I volunteered to design for our Church's Children's Ministry. About a year or a year and a half ago, the lead Children's Pastor said that she wished someone could design a logo for us to use on signs, and in the church bulletin, and embroider on volunteer staff shirts, so I asked her what she wanted, and tried to come up with something -- Well, the first design flopped, so it sort of got swept under the rug, and forgotten about until a few months ago, when she started talking about it again.
This time, I figured I'd just let someone else take a whack at it, but as I was sitting in the sanctuary, listening to the band warm up one Sunday, this design hit me like a ton of bricks, so I took out my sketchbook, and hurriedly scratched this design down. I showed it to Lisa (Children's Pastor), and she loved it so much she ran and showed it to Stephen (lead everything Pastor), and he liked it, and gave me the go-ahead to start polishing it up. Well, it went through several revisions, and wound up looking slightly different than this in the final design, but this was my favorite, out of all of them.
Apparently, everyone else liked it, too, because word has somehow gotten around the congregation that Mie's the go-to girl for graphic design. Go figure. Now, I'm working on a logo for our Christmas live nativity, Return To Bethlehem. Whoo.
Seriously, I would hope I wouldn't have to ask this, since this is for a church, but please don't steal this.
