I CHOOSE HOPE

The girl held her head, the darkness crept closer, and tears filled her eyes. How could all of this have happend? How could she have let everything go so easily?


"I run away, but what am I running from? Is my life a lie; delusion created by my desires? Am I truly who I was told I was?

The darkness started to take form and began to speak in a shrill tone. "You're a selfish beast. All you desire is what you want. You could care less about your friends lives; ruin them and make them bend to your will. If you do not get your way, you cry wolf and say things to get your way. It's only about what you want.Which is why we get along so well.

The blackness became thicker and soon the girls vision was wearing thin. Its breath was cold as ice, and sent
chills down her back. It smiled, as the girl spoke.

"It's true, I am a selfish person. I am a horrible.

It wrapped its arms tight around her, its back melting into hers.The girl soon lost sight, and watched as her body became cold.

"I deserve this, after all I have done."

The shadow smiled and as it dug further, and further into her body. Her soul almost consumed by the darkness, and waited to fade away. When sudenly her chest felt warm, as someone cried out to her.

"No matter what, keep fighting. Fight for their happiness, fight!"

The figure just laughed evily and called the voice a fool.

"Only fools pray and protect those who have betrayed your trust. They hide behind masks, laugh at you in disgrace. They ridcule you, call you names, and even wish harm upon you.

The girl ignored him and continued to say:

"That may be so, but their happiness, is my happiness.We all make mistakes, its who we are"

The voice became stronger, and the darkness hissed at her sudden boost of confidence.

"Even if that happiness is leaving your side?

"No matter what, I will keep fighting; for what I believe in, for what I cherrish. Even if they have parted from me, even if they hate me, I will not bring myself to see them gone. I will not bring myself to force my ideals or thoughts upon them.I will not bring myself to be someone like you! For I have hope. Hope is what brings happiness. That is all I need."

A bright light surrounded the girls body, and they both started to fade. A fight has begun. Which one will you choose? Your fear, your desire? I choose my hope. That is what I will fight with.

Now I will set forward, to realize this wish.And who knows; starting a new journey may not be so hard. Or maybe its already begun.There are many worlds, but they share the same sky;One sky, one destiny"

That paragraph pretty much sums up how I feel about my friendships with certain individuals as of late. You know, there have been so many things filling me with regret as of late; most of its caused by people who are also close to all of you. However, I still have faith that maybe, somewhere, the old times will over come these ones. Well, at least one can hope.

Artists Thoughts:Lately, I have been in slump over many things, and this dream came to my mind. I guess, in a way, its describing my fears, and how I am fighting them. Something to that effect.

very goo but ur missing a word, you cut off right after you say "im a horrible". add "person" and then everything would check okay with me. other then that, it was very good. congrats on frontpage :3
